@funkee1 - BTW, there is no difference in the batteries between the ego and ego-t - the threading and size is identical, the ego-t comes with a different atomizer -- i would suggest that you just buy the battery, the atomizer is a waste as you will not use it - unless you are trying to quit smoking, you will be using carts from the club; these screw into the ego battery - make sure to pick up a charger!

@micbbirie, once again when you find the right combo stick with it. Using a variable voltage might shorten the cartridges life.

In reality only reason you would want a higher voltage is to cough a lung out, I would say stick to 2.4ohm at 3.7v with a manual battery.

no one in SF has em, I think maybe GreenDoor is getting them today, but prob just OG and Cookies, I wont be buyin any till I can find blackberry or Sour D (or maybe headband)

@Thc Scientific - sounds like an ideal configuration, thanks!!! btw, what is your opinion on the ego battery - it operates at 3.7, so in theory it should not be any different than the ivapor battery, just lower cost - please confirm - i am thinking about picking up a 1000 mAh battery for extended charge - it will come in handy for nights out.... close to 2x life over a 650

alright so i just purchased the vapor rx and tried it out. the guy at the dispensary mentioned that the shipment of cartridges they got wasn't as good as they thought and are expecting better cartridges next time.

using the vapor rx, once the light starts blinking though there is kindof a burning feeling in my mouth, is this supposed to be normal with other vaporizers?

Don't let it go til it blinks. I'd take 3-6 seconds rips. It seems that if you let it go until it blinks repeatedly, it's likely to burn/melt parts inside the cartridge. Can't be good.. But if you don't let it heat up, it should be fine. It usually doesn't feel warm until about 5-6 seconds. I'd also be more careful towards the end of the cartridge, like 60+ hits, because there is less oil, so it's easier to burn cotton.

Looks like another ego clone (so expect the ivapor cartridges to work on it)....

silver creek collective in san jose. 120 + tax and cartridges are 35. the design of these rx vapors look exactly the same as iVapors. I might buy an ivapor cartridge sometime and see if its compatible with the rx vapor.

@Drawde92, buck twenty on battery with charger, steep! gotta admit i am a little thrown... am i missing something, why not pick up an ego for a third of the price? save your funds for the carts!!!!

yeah, i was thinking about that. but the only place i know that sells those egos are in berkeley and thats pretty far from where i live. i was already willing to spend the 100-120 + 35-40 on the vapor/cartridge as well so it wasnt a big deal for me.

what is a big deal though is that im not feeling anything from the vapor rx. i think ive taken 8-10 hits today and i didnt feel a thing. maybe a little drowsy for a little bit but other then that, nothing.

should i be taking the hit until the light stops blinking? and would it also make sense to instead of inhaling the whole time while the light is on, just inhale when the light starts blinking.

did anybody else buy the new (in on thurs night...) GSC carts at Bpcc...?

@Drawde92, bummer!!! haven't tried the vapor rx, ivapor is the only thing i've tried (cart wise).... it did the trick after a few rips, just what i was looking for... i do wish there was more variety though

Just cropped on my own IVapor today in Berkeley, well the cheaper version from the Vapor Den, $52 for the pen and charger. Ego-T I believe it is and it works with the IVapor carts from BPCC, girl scout cookie for the win.

The Vape Den was packed when I went in and I felt a little rushed prob cause I cut like 4 people in line, but its alright cause my vape is far less sexy than one I prob would have bought if I waited.

If the Omnicron does end up out preforming the Ivapors I won't be too upset having only spent $52 on it, Hey Thc Scientific my bday is on the 15th the day before the release of you refillable's maybe you could send one fer my 20th! I am a great publicist no doubt everyone will hear if you do. haha

never at dusk.. i got the gsc carts. i noticed they were different right away. There smaller and the whole is bigger and they have differnet rubber pieces. I like the gsc carts that they have when the ivapor first came out all those carts were the best. the ones now are just all fruity like... Im trying out the omicron now

pop the ring off the top of the spent iVapor cart mouthpiece
remove circular seals
heat up oil on hot plate in shot glass
to 160 or so
glass eye dropper hot oil into the cotton fiber soaking it until full
put back rubber seals
pop white ring back on
screw onto iVapor
press button
rip oil vapor
blow small vapor ring through larger vapor ring....
or
it does not work
and i learned something.

drive to Berkeley every weekend from SF for preloaded iVapor carts
in SF they are scarcer than hens's teeth
it seems like in San Francisco as far as iVapor carts go it was a nice summer dream while it lasted...

skrilly - gentleman's stick white widow cart that i vaped in my iVapor did not get me anywhere near as medicated (lower thc ...) as the orig ivapor carts ....they also made me cough and irritated my throat - not good .
i keep taking it off the shelf to give it another chance and it keeps making me cough...
not good cough.......reach for my inhaler cough....never need inhaler when i medicate for cat dander asthma...
ivapor carts are cool on my throat as well....smooth on exhale after expansion....Gyeahhhhhhhhhh !

When i heat up the oil in a hash oil vile and pour it down the side of the cart it goes down for a bit then creates a bubble or soemthing then kinda fills up and kinda goes in the center hole. so i cant really pour too much at once.

so the carts that BPCC had a few days ago were different than the "usual" GSC carts? Wow, what the hell is goin on? Whoever was making the carts a month or so ago, where have they gone??
Green Door said they will likely get there shipment in today, they said hopefully its Sour D - I'll report back when they get em in!

@micbbirie - They had a buncha colors, purple included, I saw bright blues pinks, a white, mine is a gunmetal tan, I believe they are coming in with more styles and colors soon. They are open on sundays. Your welcome.

More and more I read, the more I'm convince to just buy an Ego or eGO-T and save myself $70 (more if I buy a two pack and split with someone) since it's appearing more and more it and the iVapor and RXVapor are just rebranded eGO-Ts..

Omicrons aren't readily available in SF Bay area yet, correct? Or is it because you can buy the 5 pack (4+1) of cartridges that I think are refillable?

Shit I was going to get the IVapor from BPCC they didn't have it so I went a few doors down saved 48 and then bought 2 cartridges I was 6 bucks away from getting 3! Blah!

I hope the one I go to the most (igzactly 420 in the heart of downtown SF -- convenient to go to after work) carries something soon. I know they are looking into it. They have a better selection than 95% of dispensaries I've been to, just hope they pick up on this sooner rather than later.

I've asked the Greener Side and Green Cross about picking up the Omicro.. The Greener Side is already picking up the AtmosRx (boooooo lol), but the Green Cross might be an option. They tend to only reply to about half of my emails though, so it's hard to tell if I got through to them. I definitely want to see the Omicron become popular though, I think a lot of people would appreciate a product like this but simply don't know it's available. I wouldn't have learned about it if not for the iVapor boom and my desire to start vaporizing and medicating discretely in public.

anymore reports on ivapor cartridges being restocked? from what i understand, the only new carts in the last two weeks were at berkeley patients care collective ... and those were a different size and not as good.

you'd think someone with some business sense would figure out how to fill the ivapor cartridge and get in there and make a fortune. it seems there's a ton of demand. thcscientific has posted instructions in another thread.

yeah green door said they were told they would for sure have them on the 10th, but they never came in. Not sure if they came in today, haven't bothered to call...

From what I heard and this is only hearsay I dont think ivapor is around anymore. Could be wrong heard my contacts say numbers disconnected not sure.

Thc Scientific - That is an awful rumor. Man this really sucks. I really enjoyed my ivapor, and the fact that the carts are going to stop being made sucks. While I like your omricon product and think the concept is stellar, I do not like the fact that A) The Carts themselves are so expensive and B) You have to fill them yourself.

Heck I bet Skrilly is one of the most seasoned stoners on this board and even he is having a little trouble getting it to work.

Look I think if the rumor you say is true, and the Ivapor cart creators are done making carts, then I would suggest a THC Scientific promotion. If you bring in your ivapor (Rx, not the ones you buy from smoke shops) then you should get 50% off your omricon.

Finally I think someone needs to talk to Berner because he is the one who blew up the ivapor. If anyone would know anything about the ivapor carts, it would be him.

Hey guys, new to the board but I've been following this thread closely since it's started.

I finally picked up an eGO last week after being reasurred by many people that it IS the iVapor. Yesterday I picked up three carts from BPG, they said they were girl scout cookies.

Though I was really impressed I was upset to find that the first cart lasted less than 50 rips. I noticed everyone talking about new carts that didn't taste right and made a sizzling noise, my carts sizzled too.

Alas, I said **** it and ordered all the materials I need to refill my own carts. Tomorrow I'm gonna go by harborside and pick up a few grams of their most potent hash oil.

I'm trying to save money anyways and I don't mind putting in a little effort to make my own carts if it means I'm gonna save hundreds of dollars. Maybe I can eventually find an even more potent and longer lasting formula than the iVapor cartridges and even maybe if they're good enough I can be a better and more consistent distributor of cartridges to bay area clubs.

I'll keep you guys posted on my progress.

how long were the hits you were taking? the consensus seems to be 3-4 seconds is best. at first i was taking 10+ second hits until the light started flashing, but i found that really irritated my lungs. multiple 3-4 second hits is perfect for me.

NorCal, my friends and I were taking huge rips up until the light started blinking. Since the cartridge died so quickly I learned quick that it wasn't the best idea. The second cartridge has been 3-5 second rips strictly and I'm at about #15 so we'll see how far it goes.

I'm curious as to what formula of mixture is in the iVapor cartridges... the first one I'm gonna try is the 1gram hash oil to 3grams veg glycerine formula that THC Scientific posted in another topic.

illmatik - are you going to get fresh carts to experiment with or are you trying to reuse your old carts? seems like fresh carts would be the best way to experiment. the e-cig place in berkeley could probably sell you carts? you can also order them online. keep us posted on your progress.

Whoever is smart enough to just bring back the old formula like was used on the OG Kush black carts and Sour D White Carts and we will be in business. IMO, The original carts especially Sour D white was the best.
