One toke over the line - new patients

What advice do you give to first time smokers? Any mention of the white knuckle roller coaster ride I sometimes feel from concentrates or edibles? Or do you see no point in scaring them? "Just take it easy your first couple times....don't worry, I won't let you vaporize too much..."

My advice would be to relax. I, too, use a vaporizer and think its great. First, obviously you'll feel the effects a lot quicker than you do from the edibles. Just take a few hits and wait. Sometimes, I feel the meds very intensely for the first few minutes, then the intensity dissipates and I'm left with the wonderful sensations that all patients want. While I enjoy edibles, too, it is easier to monitor your reactions and timing with the vapor, since the strongest effects hit first. The budtenders at Florin Wellness Center were, and continue to be very helpful to me, when deciding what meds to try for whatever condition.
