Dispensary Review:
Barbary CoastLegit meds
Blue lightning has been consistently good since this club opened. Amsterdam Headband flowers are a current standout. Pre-rolls are legit. I toked one by myself during the Mazzy Star show and made friends all around me. :)

Grass Roots CollectiveOne of the best in San Francisco
Consistently excellent medicine, friendly staff, and growing collection of glass for sale. The Amsterdam Headband flowers standout. Not your typical Headband, as this strain exhibits qualities of is 3 way cross reminiscent of OG Kush. I forget the genetics, but I will say it is worth a look.

Harborside Health Center - OaklandMedical Marijuana Dispensary Model for the Entire World
This is the best medical marijuana dispensary on earth, of that I'm convinced. Harborside's care for my well being is evident in their gas chromatography/mass spectrometry tests for visible and invisible mold that are conducted on all cannabis medicine. I can say without reservation that Harborside Health Center cannabis has the highest quality marijuana I have ever seen, tasted, vaporized, smoked, eaten, or seen growing as clones on the shelf.
As a patient, I have access to free chiropractic care, accupressure, and a host of other services including counseling sessions for patients with abuse concerns. Steve DeAngelo has created an atmosphere of warmth and caring in Oakland. Prices are at the top of the market, but deals abound so ask your budtender for daily specials. Twitter is a good source of strain information and discounts and sales as well.
If I were a first time marijuana user and a patient with specific medical needs which need to be addressed without interfering with the rest of my life, I would consult one of the cannabis professionals at Harborside in regard to the appropriate strain of cannabis and form of ingestion which will offer the best possible results. Every patient responds differently to cannabis and has different goals for its use. Harborside will always give you the top of the industry opinion about treatment options which are available for your needs.
You will be given a tour of their large facility upon your first visit and you will see the activism center where patients can work in exchange for medical marijuana. You will also see a library filled with books on growing cannabis and on cannabis photography, all available for members to study.
No on-site use is the only reason I would even consider giving Harborside less than 5 stars. We can see our post drug war future at Harborside, a well maintained facility run by exemplary staff, working in harmony with all their local neighbors. Marijuana must come above ground, and this is how it is done, America.

The Divinity TreeLarge Menu
The Divinity Tree wins in my book for several reasons. I can mix and match strains to make a half ounce and still enjoy a $15 discount, bringing the total for 4 1/8's of top shelf bud to $185. Repeat that ritual often and you still won't taste all the flavors that run up and down their well displayed menu. Blue Cheese fans will be pleased to find a host of friendly efficient budtenders to fill your medicine chest. Grab a coffee or a bite to eat around the corner on Polk Street and enjoy your day with Divinity Tree Blackberry Kush in your pocket keeping you warm. Patients with wheelchairs cruise in and out of Divinity Tree with ease. Any questions I've ever had about strains or medicinal effects have been answered cheerfully and with a depth of knowledge which gave me confidence in the answers. I'm always greeted with a smile and I always leave happy. Keep it up guys!

SanctuaryHigh quality medicine
Sanctuary is nestled comfortably in the heart of San Francisco. You will find high quality medical marijuana in a variety of forms, all well displayed and available for inspection. Each time I've been back I've found a new strain to try. If I'm not mistaken, the $60 eighths may weigh 4 grams. Everybody at Sanctuary will welcome you with a professional attitude and an exemplary level of readily available expertise. Sanctuary is a short walk from BART and is removed from the less desirable areas of the Tenderloin / TenderNob. Sanctuary is known for helping to provide medicine to members of the local community who cannot afford regular prices. Nice people. I'm a fan!
