Sticky resin reabsorbed by Autoflower Fems

9 weeks , nice odor, sticky leaves, stopped adding 17-15-17 to water, another grower advised me to change from 20lights/4dark, to 16/8.
Believe the combination shocked my ladies, this morning, I found almost NO stickiness, almost No odor.
Only thing I can think of, go back on 17-15-17 in water, leave lights.
Anyone ever hear of this happening?
