Great deals & crew
- Great selection of waxes, plus they have daily 3g for $100 which is great!
- First timers get a gram of flowers or half gram of wax! (i got the wax).
- Friendly staff on phone & the delivery guy was helpful and very professional.
- Covers SF to SSF
- Smaller than usual selection of flowers
- Delivery window is kinda large if they are backed up. This is understandable.
If you're into waxes, this should be your top delivery service!

Went to the soft grand opening. Not a bad place. Right next to Blue Bottle coffee & across from the Mezzanine, so it's easy to find. Go while it's new and get a free goodie pg of 2 edibles and some sample grams.
I talked to one of the budtenders and he mentioned that the place is run by some Medithrive heads. So I'm not sure if it's totally Medithrive, or another venture, but the flower quality is just as good.
- Place is brand new, so everything is new.
- Volcano on premises.
- Flowers look all indoor and smell great! Kudos to the grower.
- Validated parking for the 4th & Mission garage
- Blue Bottle coffee next door for your caffeine fix.
- Goodie bag for grand opening.
- The grams run about $20 and 4gram 8ths at $60. Very pricey, but the flowers are impeccable. You get what you pay for.
- Sign up took long. There wasn't that many people, so they need to streamline the signup process a little.
- I only saw one volcano. They definitely need more.

I was passing through SJ and decided to hit up another 408 dispensary for the hell of it. The talk of the 408 seems to be this place, so I GPS'd it out here and wow...
-Very friendly staff
-Very clean establishment
-Nice quality buds with strains I haven't seen before
-Menus are posted in line so you can see the menu as you wait for the next available budtender
-The line was long (which it was that day), they passed out half gram samples of some random bud for the inconvenience. SCORE!
-Free J for new members
-Like most SJ dispensaries, it's in the cuts. So have your GPS ready.
-Their 8ths are on the pricey side and it's only 3.5g instead of 4g for the top-shelf price
-Can't medicate on premises
I picked up some White Strawberries, Crazy Ape, and Flav and they were all knock out lovely!

Staff is friendly.

It's in the Mission, so parking sucks.
It's hard to notice on the street since it blends in with the area.

This flower delivered as promised. Vapor Rooms stuff is always high quality and this was no exception. The taste was very "kushy" with it's earth like flavor.
The flowers were cured nicely and it wasn't too sticky. The buzz itself was very body calming and relaxing. My brain wasn't too spaced out, but it was just enough to wipe out a bad day at work. This is the perfect med to smoke when you want to decompress from a stressful day.

BASA had this on the cheap for $35. The bud quality was very good too at this price point. It was nice & fluffy and smelled great. The buzz was very heady & cerebral. I was instantly euphoric & happy which was helpful after a crappy day at work.
The only bad on this was that I smoked this at night before bed and I woke up with a bad headache. Lesson learned...indicas only before sleep.

closest thing to a drive-thru
So first off, after reading the other reviews...THIS AREA is NOT GHETTO. If this is your idea if ghetto, then grow some f*ckin' balls. It's more like trendy hipster zone.
The place itself is a trailer in a parking lot, so it's not fancy at all. But their service is very fast and they have nice pricing on outdoor strains. I snagged myself an 8th of Casey Jones for $35 where other places had it ad $52/55. I also got a gram of Grape Ape and loved it.
They update their menu regularly, so if you come here with an idea of what you want, they take care of you ASAP. It's a no frills place, but they have good buds & pricing. I was in & out in under 5 minutes.
Last bonus, there's a rib joint next door....NOM NOM NOM!

This has a real nice body buzz. You get that nice pinch behind your eyes that tells you that you're having fun. Real relaxing and I had fun watching Old School. I was in couch lock, but I wasn't sleepy.
This gave me some bad munchies though. I ate a whole bag of Ruffles. That I totally regret. Best chips i ever had though.

This stuff is really sticky and dense. Even when I tried to grind it, I had a tough time getting it to break apart. So be ready for that.
The buzz itself is very similar to Blackberry Kush. It is a very strong Indica that will leave you with your eyes half shut and just one with the couch. I took this after a night of heavy drinking and it put me to sleep like a baby with NO hangover. I think I may have found my hangover juice...

best smell & taste / beginner strain
I got these during teh SPARC X-MAS special.
The first thing you'll notice is how good this smells. The taste carries through when you vape/smoke it. It has a strong lemon-orange smell which throws you off a little. Like you almost want to eat it.
The buzz itself is not that strong though. I am used to heavier Sativa Hybrids and this was pretty mellow for a Sativa Hybrid. This would be a good daytime buzz if you still want to keep your head in the game and just enjoy a walk on the beach with your dogs or significant other.
In the end, this is a good beginner strain.

not fancy, but great people & prices
So the 1st thing to note about this place is to bring your original doctor's recommendation. They won't take your card, they only take the actual letter. So yea, that sucked since I had to go back home to get it.
Other than that 1st hiccup, this place is pretty good. The place itself isn't that fancy compared to other places in the area, but they have a good selection and along with that some very good prices. They had an 8th of Casey Jones for $25, where other places have it at $52. They have good quality strains and really cheap prices. Their hash oils are cheaper too. You can't medicate on premises, but they will allow you to prep at their tables.
The bud tender, Nadia, was very helpful in explaining how everything works and she was very friendly. She was very helpful in showing me all the different strains on special and let me sniff around as much as I want. I didn't feel rushed at all.
So overall, a good place with good bud with REALLY cheap prices!
1st time trying hash oil...
So I got my Omicron Vaporizer and decided to try this. MSCo-op has their hash oils at a very cheap price, most @$22/gram.
The hash oil itself hit pretty good and I was very relaxed. It was a typical GDP body buzz. The taste was kinda odd though. It tasted like burned grapes. So it's not horrible, but it may take a while to get used to.

The bud had the usual Medithrive freshness. I don't know what they do, but Medithrive's bud is always feeling nice & fluffy. The smell & taste was like regular trainwreck, so nothing special. Also the buzz was pretty much like regular trainwreck. It cleard my head pretty much like a reset switch. bud-tender messed up, but it was all good
This review is more 3.5 stars...
I didn't feel like going to downtown to get Purple Kush, so this was much closer and I decided to check it out. I came for the $22 8th of Purple Kush, but the bud-tender mistakenly gave me $22 8th of MendoMini's. I was a little miffed about that, but the Mendo's were actually pretty good.
The place is very clean & tidy with a cute bichon dog. The buds are all laid out in a glass case and the tenders are friendly. Just make sure he/she gets the right one. Their menu selection is pretty good as it carries the standard stuff (GDP, PK, GS C, SD) but they also had a bunch of strains that you normally don't find downtown. They have decent pricing on the regular strains, especially on the OD 8ths.
looks are deceiving
I got these mistakenly from the bud-tender. I wanted Purple Kush and she gave me this. They looked really cheap & flakey. I was pissed at first, but I already got home and had a long day, so I tried it out.
I was surprised by how pleasant it was. The high started in the back of my head like someone was massaging it, then it slowly went down my spine which was great. This is a good indica that won't space you out or look stoned. I was able to keep my thoughts together and go about my day/night. I did get bad munchies and ate a whole bag of chips.
It's not too strong and not too weak. It was just right.

good place if you don't want to trek to downtown
Decided to give this place a try since it was close to my home and it wasn't downtown. Like many others have said about this place, it lacks an online menu. So when I went in, I didn't know what to expect.
The place itself is pretty shabby. Not the greatest & neatest place I've been to. It reminds me of a beat-up comic book store. The menu was kinda disorganized too with 3 separate boards based on quality. So that took awhile to get used to. You tell the bud-tender what you like, they let you smell a jar, then they write you a ticket. With that ticket, you go to a window on the other side to claim your buds. So that was kinda meh.
The selection was pretty standard for most SF dispensaries. Sour Diesel, GS Cookies, T'Wreck, etc... so not too bad. The prices were pretty standard and maybe a little cheaper than other places in SF. I just got some Sour D and it was ok. I got what I expected and the quality was cool.
So if I am ever lazy to head to downtown SF, this is a place worth going to since it is much closer to home.
This was a typical Sour Diesel buzz. it had a nice sativa head buzz but your thoughts don't go too out of control. It keeps you thinking and feeling positive and not paranoid and hyper like strong sativas tend to do. This was just right.

nice focused high
I got this sample from the Medithrive 2yr. anniversary and I must say....this is some nice stuff. It's a definite sativa with the pleasant head buzz, but the high really keeps your focus straight. Unlike other Sativas where you can be thinking of a million things at a time and not have any focus on 1 thing, this is the opposite. Your focus is pretty neat and your thoughts are not streaming everywhere. Good stuff!

nicest people ever met
I was in SJ for a dinner and had an hour to kill, so I figured hell why not? So I looked for the closest dispensary on my GPS and Canna Culture came up. The place is in the cuts, I'm pretty glad I found this place as these people are the nicest folk ever. When I walked in, it was standard sign up procedure, but there was a dude with his guitar and he was playing requests. I requested any 90s hip hop, and he played some Dr. Dre on his guitar.....pretty dope!
After the signup the bud-tender was very friendly and was ready to explain everything from how they arrange their flowers to the types of hash they sell to the history of each item. He was very knowledgeable and he also let me small a lot of the flowers. He even taught me the coffee bean method to clear your smelling palette before you smell each one. That was very helpful.
Their flower selection is pretty good and prices reasonable but they had some strains that I have never seen before that were exclusive to them. So with that, I did a split 8th of the Sonoma Coma & Copacabana. Both Sativa dominant hybrids. When I tried them out later, they both turned out very good!
Overall, this was a good dispensary with some nice quality flowers with a different selection that I'm used to in SF. So if you're in the SJ area and when to try something new, this place is definitely on the list.
award winner indeed....
I got this on my 1st trip to CannaCulture and had to try it since I've never seen it in SF and it won awards. The flower itself is very dense and looks good. Green with lots of light crystals and orange hairs. The smell is subtlety sour. Not as sour as others like Lamb's Bread, but still very good to the nose to the point you can't wait to try it out like McD's fries.
When I smoked it, it was a very good Sativa head high. I was watching football most sf the day and this made the games all the more enjoyable! I was having a lot of fun with this stuff. It elevated my spirits and mood very well. It intensified my happiness while watching football (along with a Niners win). This is a very good strain to have when in social situations since it will make everything much more enjoyable.
Later on in the day I kept smoking it and it just kinda got me glued to my bed with a big smile on my face. So yea, it does get stoney, but at least you'll still be smiling!

Nice place deep in the Mission
I was in the search for an 8th Purple Kush and this was the only place that had it in SF. Also, this was another collective I wanted to check off the list since my homey told me this was a good place. So another 2 birds with 1 stone situation....
This place is deep in the Mission and parking will usually suck. Public transportation would probably be your best bet. The place itself is very clean and bright. They have a nice selection of pipes, bongs, & vaporizers. They had the usual vapes like MFB, Volcano, and the WISPR. They had the WISPR at a decent price cheaper than what I see online. So that was tempting to get on the spot. Also, since it was my 1st time there, I got a free joint.
They have cute down to earth Ms. budtenders. The lady that helped me out was extremely helpful with not only what I wanted, but she also made other suggestions of other good Indicas. She was telling me about the benefits Blackberry and I must admit, she sold me good on it that I'll probably get that on my next pay day.
Their buds are nicely laid out with THC & CBD ratings on it. I was happy to see new strains there that I haven't seen at other dispensaries. They also have a decent selection of $10 grams like Sour Diesel & Green Cush. However their 8th (3.5g) tend to be a little pricier than average. Lastly, if you plan to get an 8th, come during happy hour to spin the wheel and you could win a gram to an other 8th.
Overall, an excellent place to check out in the city if you want to see new strains and talk to friendly people.
still good...still relaxing
After buying my 1st gram of this stuff, I fell in love and had to get more. At the time, Shambhala was the only place in SF that had an 8th, and it was just as good as the 1st time.

They take their bud, coat it with THC Honey oil, then roll it around in Kief. That's a 35%+ boost in THC...like a 420 WoW buff! The cool part is that the coated honey gave the WW a really nice texture and smell. It looked very promising!!
When I lit it, I could immediately feel it after 2 small hits. And it hit hard....like a tennis racket to the face! Then the taste it produced was so divine probably because of the honey oil. I just sat there watching Chappelle's show like it was an Oscar movie. It was pretty relaxing & fun. I just stared at my half-burned joint and tapped out. I was looking for some Trainwreck and this was the only place in SF that had it. I also wanted to check this place out since it was on my list of places I haven't been to.
The place is in the Lower Haight, so parking is a bitch. Not really the fault of The Vapor Room and I already knew that going there. So just be ready for that if you decide to drive. The place itself in the basement of an old Victorian house and is pretty chill. Not flashy and not dull. It's just a relaxing wood grained place.
The signup was easy and the lady was friendly. The buds were easily laid out with detailed descriptions and easy to read pricing. They also have tables with Volcanoes you can use for an hour to medicate, so that is pretty convenient. There was a bunch of hippies talking about politics & the problem with Republicans. Not too surprising, it's the Haight.
The Trainwreck itself was very good and the bud was very fresh. I am looking forward to trying their other stuff since it seems to get good reviews.
i love this strain!
I've been smoking on and off again for years since my college days, but the one strain I'll always remember is Trainwreck. I asked my buddy back in the day, "Why is it called that?" He told me, "Because when you smoke it, it feels like you just got hit into a train wreck." And yep..... that's what it felt like.
To this day, it's still one of the best strains I've smoked. As with any sativa, you get a head high, but with T'wreck, it's like an immaculate brain high that makes everything around seem more fun. You are definitely happy, energetic, and socialable. But you might wanna do it around friends because you might talk on and on about random things or laugh a little too much.

A side note about this company, 'Gentlemen's Brand'...
Their customer service is outstanding. Recently I had an issue with my G-Stick as the charger was showing orange & I screwed on the stick to tight to the USB charger exposing the internal wire. neat little stick
After seeing my friends sporting the iVapor, I was eyeing to get these cool little USB rechargeable vapor sticks. When I saw that Apothecarium was selling these at almost half the price of the iVapor, I just had to try it out and get one.
When I got to Apothecarium, the friendly staff let me try it out in the store which was really nice of them. The device itself is pretty cool. No button to press like the iVapor, you just suck on it and it activates immediately. It is recommended that you hold if towards the ground to get a good hit.
Compared to the iVapor, the buzz may not come as fast. When I use my friends iVapor, I get a buzz right away. With the G-Stick it takes a couple more hits to achieve satisfaction. Also when you charge it on the USB attachment, don't screw it on too tight. If you do, you might cause the stick to unscrew incorrectly exposing the wire inside the device. I do recommend getting a cartridge when buying this since the starter cart has ZERO effect.

quaint & cozy place
I came here to check out the "Gentlemen's Stick" since they were the 1st place in SF to carry it. The place itself is very small but it is very clean. The decor is pretty cool with black & white tiles with black wall trims.
Signing up took a while since there were 2 others ahead of me. Once I got that out of the way, they put your name on queue and a bud-tender will call you to the counter when it's your turn. The process is pretty cool in that you get 1-on-1 attention with the bud-tender that feels more personal than other places. When I asked about the G-Stick, the bud-tender let me try it out and take a bunch of puffs. They also have a nice menu and they let you examine the stuff and take huge wiffs.
Only negative is that this place is small and if they only let less than 9 in at a time. So if it's full when you arrive, you gotta wait outside. Other than that, this place is great.
finally got a hold of one
So after buying the starter kit, I was disappointed with the included cartridge. When I was ready to get one, I had to wait about 3 weeks until Apothecarium was restocked with them. There are some new flavors out, so I decided to go with their only Sativa one, "Gentlemen's Trip."
It's definitely a lot better than the starter cart and the buzz is ok. Not an overwhelming Sativa trip, but more a mellow & relaxed feeling. You'll still be able to function without spacing out and forgetting what you needed to do. This is a good daytime cartridge if you need to go about your day and want a light buzz.

different, but good
So I was doing a lot of research on high CBD strains of meds and this caught my eye. It has 8.5% CBD and 6% THC. Right when you smoke it, you can tell the difference in this strain. My body was very relaxed and my slight headache went away, but I didn't have that "super-high" cerebral feeling you would expect from a Sativa. I felt pretty close to normal with just a little buzz.
I can see where this strain would be helpful if you were sick & in pain and don't want the psychedelic effects. So overall, this would be good strain if you just want to relax but not trip out.

This was the 2nd dispensary I went to after I got my card and I'll admit, I was a little excited beforehand because of all the marketing & promoting they've been doing on all the newspapers & websites. A lot of my initial research was on their website. So once I got my card, this was on the definite must-go place.

Even though I was a initially disappointed, the people there were very friendly and knowledgeable. The lady that signed me up was very friendly (and cute). The bud-tender was friendly and directed me to an 1/8th of J27 which was pretty good.
At the time I didn't know but the 1/8ths here a more expensive compared to other places. It's around $10-15 more, but you do get .5 a gram more in their nice containers. So that's their tradeoff. Their 1grams are fairly priced. 4gm or 1gm, they come in those nice re-closeable tin containers.
mellow head rush then conk...
Got this at Medithrive and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I smoked it pretty hard and it tasted pretty good. I didn't have any major coughing issues with it. Then about 2 minutes later, I had a nice long mellow head rush. Then came a nice body high which got me relaxed to watch Adult Swim. So yea, this is some good chill stuff!

big & strong (thats what she said)
The HOMEMADE BROWNIES were good. 4-Dose size and pretty big. They tasted pretty good for a weed brownie and didn't have that overwhelming pot smell like most brownies tend to have.
My friend & I both ate 1/4 and an hour later we were pretty floored. Good stuff!!

IKEA of dispensaries?
So this was my 3rd dispensary this week and probably the best looking one. Door guard was friendly and the person signing me up was very friendly, albeit a little distracted. I got there around 6pm on a Friday and it was very busy. I guess people were stocking up for the weekend.
The place itself is very spacious and clean and they have couches where you can chill & inhale your bud. The decor reminds me of IKEA with its Euro styling and spacious layout. So it looks like a cool place to just hang out with your friends & smoke up. When I went up to the counter, I told the lady what I was looking for and she was very helpful in guiding me in the right direction. I wanted a Sativa high in CBD and got a Harlequin 8th for pretty cheap. She also gave me the names of other strains good in CBD, so I look forward to trying those out too.
The cannabis were displayed very neatly and was color coded according to strain and it also broke down the THC & CBD percentages which was very helpful. So yea....very nice place and I look forward to coming back soon.

Dispensary Review:Igzactly 420
my 1st Dispensary
I just got my card this week and I wanted to pick a dispensary to break my cherry. It was near the end of my shift (6pm) and most of them were closing in downtown. Luckily this place was open till 10, I ended up here.
When I walked in, the door guy was kicking 2 people out because their card wasn't legit. So he laid the hammer down pretty good. But when it was my turn, he was cool & professional. I came in for edibles and the dude Tex was helpful and gave me a free edible for being a new customer.
The place is clean, bright, and the staff cool. And cant complain about the free edible!
