Harlequin - 5.72% THC/9.54% CBD or 1.67:1 ratio
Type: Hybrid Sativa/Indica-High CBD strain
Price: $50/8th (normally $60/ 8th)
Looks: Dark green with a plethora of tiny hairs. Nicely manicured buds as usual with HHC-Oak product.
Smell: Pro: This sack smells very fruity, very pleasant to the nose. It smells almost exactly like Soma A+, which is a good thing. Con: Very different from previous Harlequin that I’ve purchased from HHC-Oak which makes me wonder why the discrepancy. I like consistency.
Taste: Very smoooooth. Previous Harlequins that I’ve purchased from HHC-Oak have tasted VERY piney which I don’t really care for but this sack, I dare say, was tasteless. I’d much rather a smooth, tasteless smoke than the piney Pine Sol taste that so often accompanies high CBD meds.
Buzz Type: This is a very good body high with an ever so slightly head high, as one might expect out of the low THC and high CBD levels. I would definitely recommend for patients looking for a pain relief without feeling like your head is spun out.
Buzz Length: Medium – long. About 1.5 – 2 hours based on a 70mm Zig Zag joint I split with my girlfriend. Now, if I’m burning bowls with this stuff, I can pack 2 bowls and be set for the same amount of time. With only 5.72% THC, this isn’t the one toke joke; you’re going to want to burn a little more than normal to get a heady effect.
Overall: Harlequin is my high CBD medication of choice so far. It has a nice creeper effect in the beginning which I always enjoy. Hey, who doesn’t like a surprise, right? Also, this strain does not kick start your heart into over drive which, for an MMJ patient battling anxiety attacks for 15 years like myself, is a great thing. The comedown is a calm amber feeling that reminds me of a glass of warm whiskey in front of a fireplace in a cabin up in Breckenridge, CO. I give it 3 out of 5 couch lock stars. This is the perfect movie night med. –soma5280
