Sour Diesel might be my favorite strain of all time. Unfortunately, a good grow of Sour Diesel is hard to find, and those that fall short make for pretty mediocre medicine. That said, when you find high quality Sour D, there are few strains that top it, and this Platinum Sour Diesel from Grateful Meds definitely meets this top-shelf standard.

I picked-up an eighth that is made-up of long dark and light green fingerling bud formations peppered with long faint yellow hairs. The medicine has a dank sour aroma that the strain is known for. There is a tinge of chemical scent and that's really the only complaint I had about this medicine ... the aroma should have more of a soil smell mixed into it than chemical.

The buds are beautifully cured and burn slowly. A first hit out of a freshly cleaned glass bubbler produced bold earthy notes of soil soaked in the tangy sour flavor that is Sour Diesel's trademark. And like this grow's appearance, smell, and taste, I also found its high to be world class. The first hit delivered a tingle at the top of my chest that travleled upwards through my throat and nose as I felt a rush of euphoria. This was followed by a sense of calm that came with a swelling from my forehead on down to my chest.

I would categorize the high as focused and motivated, yet heavy and somewhat sedate. This could certainly be used as a daytime medicine, but it is not overwhelmingly up and happy like most other Sour Diesels. I'm already kicking myself for only picking-up an eighth. Get down to Grateful Meds and grab some for yourself. This stuff will sellout fast if it's not already gone.
