Royal Purple Relaxation

Humble Pie makes a strong first impression, with beautiful, dense buds in a rich, purple hue. Closely manicured and thick with trichomes, this stuff looks positively regal. The smell reflects indica heritage; dank and earthy, with a suggestion of dried cherries. Vaporized in an Arizer Extreme Q, the flavor is rich and notably smooth. The high is rapid-onset, with both body and mind effects. This isn't a "three and out" strain like Master Kush, but it is intensely relaxing, with excellent anti-spasm capabilities. Patients managing chronic pain will find excellent relief in Humble Pie, as well as tremendous, calming mood-enhancement. As with most indicas, higher doses may be a gateway to a deep, refreshing sleep.

Keeps productivity on the right track...

Pinetrak is great daytime medicine, focused energy whether you're writing a proposal or tiling a bathroom. The flavor is a little spicy, a little pine-y. Presentation is typical for Abatin growers--well-regulated, compact, flowers, with a careful trim. A very functional effect for medical users, though with pronounced munchies--likely a great strain to promote appetite. One of Abatin's hallmark's is notable consistency; each batch of flowers reflects stable genetics and careful tending. Pinetrak delivers.

Deep Line Alchemy #8 (Shake)

The name is a mouthful, but the medicine is superior!

Well, this was unexpected. Ramses at TWC recommended Deep Line Alchemy #8 as a superior indica strain, and he was right on the money. Initial presentation is very nice, with robust, chunky buds displayed in a glass jar. (The "child-proof" cap is understandable, but it could be a minor challenge for patients with pain or weakness in their hands.) The smell is rich, fruity-resiny, with an astringent, hashy overtone. The smoke is dank and skunky, with a nice tropical aftertaste. The effect is exceptional, and more complex than many indicas. While supremely relaxing, Deep Line is not overwhelmingly sedative; it is clearheaded and thoughtful. A very refined medicine for evening or night-time use, perfect for solo or mellow gatherings.

Master Kush (SHAKE)

Master Crafted Sedative!

Master Kush is ideal night-time medicine for me, as it consistently helps me unwind and recover from another day of chronic pain. It is what most would consider a classic Indica, dank and skunky, with mocha notes and a woodsy aftertaste. The smoke from a Vapir Prima vaporizer is thick, rich, and extremely smooth. It is quite strong, however, and neophytes are advised to take it slow.

MK is not what I'd call super-psychoactive, it won't inspire deep thought or creative activity, unless you're a vivid dreamer. Mostly, it is an excellent sedative, whose chief side-effect is easy slumber--a potent insomnia-buster, for those of us who have trouble falling asleep, or staying asleep. It can be a potent appetite stimulant, so you may want to hide the snacks before bedtime!

Liberty Cannabis' Master Kush has achieved terrific consistency over time, and the buds are generously full and dense, dark green and heavily frosted with trichomes. Long-lasting effects equal excellent value--just don't overdo it if you want to stay awake!

Pincher's Creek (SALE) (GLASS JAR)

A great rendition of a favorite strain!

Pincher's Creek is one of my favorite daytime medicines, a perfect antidote to chronic-pain fatigue. Known elsewhere as "Green Crack," PC is high-THC variety, seemingly without a trace of CBD, which I avoid, as it makes me sluggish, stupid, and anxious. PC is fruity-sweet, with a slight minty aftertaste. The effects are pure sativa, extremely upbeat, almost caffeinated. This buzz tends to creep up, and has a robust half-life, so it may be wise to ease into the best dosage.

Pincher's Creek is a product of Abatin Wellness, and it is distinctly different from the Green Crack offered by Liberty Cannabis, also available at TWC, and another of my favorite strains. Although they are both upbeat sativas, GC tends to be a slightly "stonier" rendition than PC; where Pincher's is laser-focused and rather buzzy, Liberty's Green Crack is a little more laid-back, with a dank, skunky edge laid over its essential fruity sweetness. Green Crack is also more of an appetite stimulant, though it probably won't inspire you to inhale your refrigerator, as some strains do.

As with all Abatin products, Pincher's Creek is extremely consistent from batch-to-batch and bud-to-bud. The flowers are tight and very well-manicured. The cure is just right--not too moist, as some growers seem to prefer. Because of its long-lasting effects and consistent nature, it offers excellent value, and a genuine boutique medical experience. Highly recommended for fans of upbeat, high-energy cannabis.

Green Crack (TRIM) (SALE)

A favorite strain...

Green Crack is a great strain for daytime use--It is one of my favorite daytime medicines for managing chronic pain while maintaining productive functionality.

This Green Crack from Holistic Remedies is dark green and chunky, dense and well-trimmed. The aroma is typically sweet and floral, in this instance mixed with an exotic musk that hints at a calmer nature than some versions of this popular medicine. Used in a Vapir Prima vaporizer, the flavor is comparatively rich for a sativa, with a suggestion of skunk.

GC's effects can be extremely 'zingy,' often a bonus when working on projects, though it can sometimes be counter-productive when combating head-and-shoulder tension. This rendition is on the more mellow side--It has a bit of a 'creeper' disposition, coming on gradually over 20 or 30 minutes, and over-use will probably leave you feeling pleasantly distracted for a bit. This does even out, but be aware that it is somewhat stronger than it might first seem. The effects are long-lasting, and there is no 'crash' as they wear off after an hour-and-a-half or two.

Overall, GC is a favorite strain for this daytime user, and this calmer version is a welcome option. It is on my shortlist as one of my top strains for regular use at TWC.

District Cookies (SHAKE) (SALE)

Sweet, sweet cookies!

This is a delightful strain, and a nice surprise, because I'm not a great fan of Girl Scout Cookies-based varieties.

Presentation is excellent; the buds are full and dense, displaying a tidy, close-cut manicure. The smell is sweet and a bit vegetal, with a suggestion of over-ripe tropical fruit. The cure is toward the moist side--treat with care in humid DC summer.

District Peyote Cookies is an upbeat, happy indica--It it both calming and elevating. Effects come on quickly, and provide a swift infusion of relief for chronic pain. The head is clear and a little giddy--At moderate doses, this is not a couch-locky indica, though I'd still consider it a night-time strain. It would be a fine choice for mellow, evening socializing, but be aware that it can become soporific at higher doses. This is probably strong medicine for novices.

Overall, this is one of my favorite varieties at TWC. It swiftly dispatches my chronic pain, and improves my mood and overall sense of well-being. It is notably tasty for an indica, clearly cultivated and processed with care. The effects are long-lasting, and there is no substantial crash at the end--though it will lead to a deep, restful slumber when used with enthusiasm. A winning strain, thoughtful and well-balanced.
