Metropolitan Wellness Center

Back by choice not nessecity

After a year of not having safe access, I'm back! MWC is conveniently located because my place of employment and home and now offers an expanding array of med selections. I redeemed my credits in an alcohol tincture of Master Kash, 1 gram of Marion Barry, 1 gram of Bubbalicious, 1 gram of Sugar in My Bowl, and 2 grams of Orange Sunshine.I spent a little over my credit amount but I was happy to pay the balance.

Metropolitan Wellness Center & District Growers Testimonies

Hello! I am 37 years old, and I am a cannabis user. I have been a cannabis user since my senior year of high school. Since then, of course I graduated high school, served and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees, and remained a productive citizen within society. Early on, I realized that cannabis helped me with anxiety, attention deficient disorder (ADD) insomnia, and depression I during my late teenage years. Over the last 10 years, I have had the privilege of experiencing the customer service and a plethora of cannibis strains in Amsterdam, Netherlands. My most recent experience was post neurosurgery October 2012.

In April 2012, I had a discectomy which literally means "cutting out the disc." My discectomy was performed along my spine from the neck (cervical) region. The surgeon removed my damaged disc from the front (anterior) of my spine through the throat area. After the herniated disc was removed, the space between the bony vertebrae was emptied. To prevent the vertebrae from collapsing and rubbing together, a spacer graft was inserted to fill the open disc space. The graft serves as a bridge between the two vertebrae to create a spinal fusion. The bone graft and vertebrae were fixed in place with a metal plate and 4 screws. Following my surgery the body began its natural healing process and new bone cells grew around the graft. After 3 to 6 months, the bone graft began to join the two vertebrae and form one solid piece of bone. The instrumentation and fusion working together was that similar to reinforced concrete.

Post surgery, I was prescribed highly additive and toxic medicications while I already knew that cannibis was my preferred medicine of choice. For the last 2 and a half years I have managed muscle spasms, aches, and depression through cannibis therapy.

I discovered Metropolian Wellness (MWC) late October 2014. It was during a time when I was laid off from a work assignment, having just recently established residence in the District of Columbia, and DC Mayor Vincent Gray had signed the Medical Marijuana Expansion Emergency Amendment Act of 2014 which empowered physicians to decide which patients ought to engage in medical marijuana therapy. Metropolian Wellness Center was the most attractive dispensary choice for me for several reasons.

1. It is the closest dispensary to me. I live east of the river in Ward 7.
2. MWC was willing to schedule referring physician appointment and take my passport photos at no cost for my official application.
3. They promised to hand deliver my application to the Department of Health.

I am now,1 full month a Metropolian Wellness Center member. The facility is very clean and the customer service great! I have already referred a close friend to MWC.

Thank you for your service MWC and may more patients discover your welcoming environment!

Currently, I am a District Growers' user of medicinal marijuana that uses cannabis as an alternate form of therapy versus the pharmaceutical industry. Back in December 2011, I started to experience what I would later learn was C5-C6 spondylosis which describes spine degeneration that develops in the space between the fifth and sixth vertebrae in the cervical spine. Spondylosis is a general term used to describe normal, age-related spine degeneration and the presence of related conditions and symptoms. C5-C6 spondylosis refers to the general deterioration of the spinal anatomy, whereas conditions like a herniated disc, spinal stenosis or osteoarthritis more precisely describe the origin of the neck pain.

After 3 to 6 months, the bone graft began to join the two vertebrae and form one solid piece of bone. The instrumentation and fusion working together was that similar to reinforced concrete.

As an alternative to taking prescribed muscle relaxers and other toxic pharmaceutical drugs, I became medicinal marijuana patient, November 2014. I have discovered District Growers strains such as Blue Dream, Light of Jah, Sage, and various Kush strains that help me manage the occasional muscle spasms and aches that I now have as a result of having had surgery. These strains also leave me with a great overall cerebral reality and I recommend them to other people I know that have similar conditions.

Thank you District Growers!

Brilliant Sativa-Indica Blend

My first flower purchased at MWC. This blend will become my everyday daytime med. Instant favorite! Buzz Type: This was a medium quickness, not a creeper by any means. It started with a nice uplift about 5 minutes after smoking and slowly drifted me to a familiar Kush place on my couch. I had good body warmth and great muscle relaxation for the duration of the high.smoked out of a pinch hitter.

2ml Master Kush = time to relax

Very good edible...I tried only a few drops under my tongue to start and accidentally used the entire 2ml. Next time. I will savor this potion. 2 to 3 hours later I'm calm and relaxed having taken a nap in the midst of my ride. This is strictly for the patient that plans to be immobile for the remainder of the day.
