Tyson 2.0: Two Scoops #1 by Columbia Care has well exceeded my expectations! So, full disclosure, I was pretty much set to stop smoking flower for awhile as a I felt a tolerance break was needed to achieve the experiences in which I've grown accustomed. Two Scoops definitely had me second guessing my decision! It was love at first whiff. The cross of Grape Sherbet & Orange Sherbet is ever apparent in this beautiful fruity aroma with an extremely pungent kick. Sometimes you already know exactly what kind of ride you're in for by smell alone, and I knew I was going to get back in line for this one.

Visually, the buds were frosty with dense purple & green hues. Oranges hairs were abound and threaded throughout. The flower ground quite nicely and smoked even better. I was immediately enchanted with the taste of both sweetness & spiciness, the spice most likely coming from the heavy caryophyllene profile. There was also a smoothness that gave way to truly an ice cream like palate.

The effects left me feeling super cozy as my body immediately sank into the couch. There was an overall sense of well being with tension, stress and other remains of the day that quickly dissipated. Heavy behind the eyes but still mentally in tact. Simply put, it brought back that good ol feeling of yesteryear when I first started smoking. Just stony from head to toe with moments of immense geeking. You all know the feeling. And the sleep thereafter? Most gratifying. So grab a cone and fill it with Two Scoops...you won't be disappointed!

The experience I had with the Hell's Pineapple Biscuits Moonrock was nothing short of intergalactic. This was the perfect end to a very long day. I personally have a hard time with decompression, so even though I may be physically ready to call it a day, my mind is still in full swing. Smoking this preroll brought that to a full stop. The heaviness first started behind my eyes with pure relaxation traveling throughout my body with a quickness, and there was a familiar euphoria felt that only the Pineapple strain can produce for me. Calm, happy, cozy, satisfied. Why would you want to feel any other way? This moonrock preroll is a must try for anyone that's wants to take a top flight trip to the outer limits and beyond.

Takoma OG by Abatin Wellness is the first out of a new line of premium strains offered at Takoma Wellness Center that I wanted to try, and if the rest of the experiences are anything like the Takoma OG experience, then sign me up! This batch of dark green and dense buds breakdown beautifully. I picked up on an extremely earthy aroma upon first whiff, with a similar taste upon inhalation. My joint made for an incredibly smooth and extra billowy smoke that turned my usual groggy morning mood into nothing but smiles--a perfect start to a sunny day off ahead. The effects left me feeling light & serene whilst remaining sharp the entire time. I'd say this strain can easily help combat anxiety, depression, or lack of appetite and am happy to introduce this into my rotation!

District Cannabis has done it again. I'm finding more and more that the strains they produce are more than just fun, they are carefully curated to match anyone's specific medicinal needs. Blackberry Moonshine is no different. I find that this strain would be perfect for anyone who experiences high anxiety , depression, and/or lack of appetite. I indulged in this lovely bud post work, greeted with a sweet & gassy aroma upon opening the bag. I'd say the taste equally matched the aroma. Now admittedly, I was a little worried that this smoke would be a dud for me because it was slow to kick in, but when it did, it was wonderfully soothing as well as uplifting. I did, however, have a hard time leaving the refrigerator and cupboards alone so munchies beware! The experience left me feeling fully functional, but when I was ready for bed, I was able to lean into rest with ease. This is just as how a well balanced hybrid should be, and I would happily get it again.

What can I say? Everything people have said about Kashmir Jade by Abatin has been spot on. For starters, this has been my first go at CBD flower ever, and this strain has me excited enough to dabble in CBD flower to come. Get ready for a boost with pine & pepper in both taste and smell. It provided a wonderful balance of both tension relief, more than likely from the flood of the pinene terpene it provides, all while inducing a mellow calm with the CBD. This is a great smoke if you need a little medicine in your system without a heavy buzz to get through the day, be it from a laborious to-do to keeping focus on a task at hand. It's also fantastic for a just a relaxing day or a social gathering. Should one tend to be riddled with social anxiety, this will knock the edge clear off with long lasting effects. I always knew green was my favorite color, and now I know why!

...complete exaltation from head to toe when smoking 495! It was love at first whiff when it came to the funky, skunky, gassy goodness of this attractive bud. I got home from work and found it put me exactly where I wanted to be, which was relaxed and uplifted enough to not mind tackling some chores around the house. I was happy to put on some music and tend to my domestic duties with minimal strain on my lower extremities considering they had all but dissipated after exhaling big billowy puffs, and there was a notable "headband" affect happening, swirling from the back of my eyes to the back of my head in the best kind of way. I will say have some eye drops and water handy as it did leave me feeling a bit dry, but other than that, 495 is a route I'm happy to take again.

Along with the smooth, almost piney taste with this Green Love Potion cartridge comes the ultimate rest & relaxation anyone with a racing mind and tense anatomy should be looking for. After a couple puffs I was immediately able to sink into the couch and put on a movie without mindless distraction. After a couple more I realized there was no point in putting on a movie because I was fully ready to climb into bed and fall off into a peaceful slumber. I highly recommend this Indica strain for those who either have trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep. Even better than an OTC sleep aid in the fact I manage to wake up feeling refreshed without the lingering lethargy in the morning. Super excited to add this to the rotation!

Daybreak 1:1 Cartridge is a cart that I would not have tried unless it was gifted to me, and what a great gift to receive! Let me start by saying that carts are ordinarily not my go to as a flower lover, but after toking on this buzzworthy strain, it has broadened my horizons to experimenting with more! Another thing worth noting is that the way most daytime strains work for a lot of people tend to go the other way for me. That said, uplifting effects? Check. Fun for a morning wake & bake? Check. Do I necessarily feel motivated to stay awake & focused? Not so much, as the CBD content makes my body feel so cozy that all I want to do is take a nap. So oddly enough, this daytime strain is actually great for my nighttime sleep. Go figure. Rest assured though, others I know who have tried Day Break 1:1 report it does exactly what it supposed to when it comes to creativity, energy, & focus. It's simply my personal body chemistry that says otherwise lol

Deep Line Alchemy has been a wonderful addition to my nighttime rotation. This strain promises to deliver everything it suggests from assuaging body aches and pains to an overall feeling of warmth, comfort and relaxation. After one deep inhalation my shoulders immediately dropped from the tension I tend to carry in them specifically, and I noticed that I don't toss and turn as much when I sleep after smoking this. There is a noticeable thick, billowy smoke that more than likely stems from it's Afghan indica roots. I was also pleased to learn that this strain has a non-tolerance factor, (which admittedly I've never heard of!), meaning I can easily use this nightly with unwavering results. I thoroughly enjoy everything about this strain.

Passion Fruit Punch, a cross between Purple Punch & Geist OG, is a wonderful indica dominant hybrid for when you need a deep body relaxation without the couchlock or mind block. It offers a sweet aroma full of fruity notes just as the name suggests, with an oh so light skunky note for the trained nose. The smoke is smooth offering a soothing warmth throughout the body, and is an immediate mood elevator. Though it may have a higher THC testing, it doesn't necessarily hit as though it does, making it good for those who are wanting to experiment a little bit more with the indica family.

Cookies 'N Cream
This strain is a pure delight for me. What originally attracted me to this flower was the smell alone, that was somehow both sweet and pungent. I hadn't heard much talk about it, so I figured what the heck-it smells great, looks great, it's a high testing hybrid, why not? And I'm so glad I did. Inhalation goes down nice and smooth, and the experience starts off mildly. But whew did it take me by surprise with a slow creeping high that had me good & toasty, with a verrrry long hang time. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that because a little can go a long way. On one occasion I thought it was a good idea to add a little Chem Glue Dry Sift to it. I'd tell you about it if I could remember it. But it was pretty much lights out with the added sift, so I'd say this strain fairs well on it's own. Cookies 'n Cream left me in excellent spirits as a cookie would to a child, and kept my body relaxed. I wouldn't be writing any term papers though, as my train of thought remained nil. In other words, great for anxiety and racing thoughts. Bring your milk and grab a batch!

Kashmir Black (Abatin)

Sometimes presentation can be everything, and upon first glance of this beautifully packaged flower in a solid, heavy black jar, it has been on my radar. But boy oh boy when I saw this crystalline, almost diamond like bud, I knew I was in for a treat.

Now, in total transparency, the aroma didn't quite hit the way the intensive terpene description might have suggested (though I did pick up on the peppery notes of the caryophyllene), but not to fear. What it may lack in heavy aroma it makes up for in effect, which quite frankly I've never experienced before.

First inhalation, my tense shoulders immediately dropped. Second, let the full relaxation begin. Thereafter, my body was completely floating...I'm talking ZERO aches & pains. Not even the dullest of aches. I literally felt almost a mentholated feeling travel all the way down to my feet, followed by a comforting warmth. But even better, though I had a noticeable buzz going, my mind and sense of clarity was still as sharp as a tack. I find that often times with me, even if it's a hybrid, one is usually sacrificed for the other, so this was truly a new sensation. Only little drawback is the lasting effects are relatively short lived, at least for me. This is a strain I'd happily come back to, especially knowing how good it is with physical ailments while allowing me to carry on with my day at full mental capacity.

GELATTI MINTS: DRY SIFT is not to be missed! To start, anyone who is not familiar with dry sift, it is the beautiful frosty portion of the bud, otherwise known as the trichomes. Trichomes carry the majority portion of medicinal properties in the flower, along with the terpenes and other cannabinoids involved. That said, whether you add a little sift to your joint or pack it with your flower in a bowl, it is sure to amplify your smoking experience to another level.

When it comes to Gelatti Mints, the flower is already a hybrid that packs a fun & giddy punch. The sift however, is an entirely different experience in the best possible way. So far it's versatility with the different strains I've tried it with has been superior. I definitely get little tingles intermittently throughout my session, and the effects are long lasting and HEAVY, so tread lightly. If I smoke it with a hybrid, I tend to feel immediately boosted and talkative. Combined with an Indica? I'm definitely taken to a different stratosphere and will not be operating heavy machinery. Body pain? Gone. Worries? What worries? This sift is a guaranteed win.

If you've carried the weight of the day on your shoulders or anywhere else you may feel tension, you're just a few tokes away from ultimate relaxation if you have Orangutang on hand. This strain has been slept on, and I can't imagine why. While not the most impressive bud visually, this Indica dominant hybrid has the most delightful citrus aroma that can be instantly mood lifting while keeping your body heavily grounded.

Expect feelings of well being and creativity. I found myself to be surprisingly chatty and social with this strain, with a slight buzz happening behind my eyes and around my forehead. An easy going get together would be the perfect setting for this, especially for those who suffer from bouts of social anxiety.

Well I must say this strain was the most pleasant surprise! While I fully expected to enjoy it based on how highly it had been recommended, sometimes you just have to see for yourself, and it was everything people had said to expect and more.

Yes, the aroma is beyond delightful. Oh so very berry. Like if you could package the scent of a bright summer day, this would be it. Only to be paired with a matching taste the whole joint through. It's almost like smoking from a flavored wrap or paper but with no artificial taste. The inhale is smooth and relaxing, the exhale packs a subtle punch.

It's certainly a fun 60/40 sativa hybrid. It's an extremely balanced feel, be it a morning mood boost (as it definitely provides an overall sense of well being), a post workday but still got stuff to do, or gathering among friends & family kind of vibe. At the same time, if relaxation is the name of the game, it provides that, too. A great any time of day strain.

JUNGLE LAVA: DRY SIFT

Dry sift has become something I like to have in my cabinet at all times. Just a little goes such a long way, and can easily amplify or modify your flower experience. It's like adding a just pinch more seasoning to a dish to kick it up a notch. Already impressed with the flower, I knew the Jungle Lava dry sift would not disappoint.

I like to disperse tiny little pockets of sift throughout my joints so every now and then you get these "bursts" of flavor with a hefty inhalation. Your joint will burn longer and stronger with sift. This time I paired the Lemon Vuitton #3 flower with the Jungle Lava sift and it made for a completely different experience than with my favorite Lemon alone. First, the flavor is out of this world, Fruity, citrusy, delicious. Same goes for aroma, which is immediately uplifting. It made for a very happy but heavy high. I wasn't couch locked, but I certainly wasn't running errands either. It's great for if you have a few friends over or if you just want to chill and relax by yourself. Looking forward to pairing it w/ other strains!

CHERRY CHEM

With the extensive selection of flower Takoma Wellness has to offer, it's easy for good strains to fly under the radar. Admittedly Cherry Chem was barely a blip on mine, so far anyway. So when the opportunity came along for me to try it, I didn't know what to expect but I was certainly excited given what I've heard about it and the fact that District Cannabis has easily become one of my favorite growers.

It's the perfect strain for decompression after a long day. The bud gives off a pungent aroma being both fruity and skunky. Just one toke and I was immediately in woosah mode. The inhale is sweet with cherry notes. while the exhale is little more gassy. I could just as easily engage in conversation as I could lay down & relax, though for me personally it did make my mind race a bit. Physically relaxed, mentally a little overstimulated, which I realize may not be the common effect. So this is officially the post work strain for me, just not for bedtime use.

Overall very happy with the experience!

Cannabis has always been more or less a nighttime medication for me. Sure, I love having a great smoke sesh at any given time of day when circumstances allow, but no matter what strain I smoke, the results more or less end the same way for me...too chill to want to function. So I happily stuck to my hybrids & indicas as I continued to do whatever I do to decompress for the evening. Until...

The minute you catch a whiff of this fragrant flower, aroma therapy alone kicks in. Uplifting citrus notes automatically create a sense of wellbeing. The sweet, tropical inhalation followed by an identical exhalation immediately takes you on a mini mental vacation where all you want to do is hop in your car, turn on your favorite playlist and see where the day takes you.
