Grass Roots Collective

One of my favorites in the city

I love Grass Roots! It is my go-to for dispensaries in San Francisco. The set-up is perfect-- pick up a menu and sit at the bar while you make your selection! Speaking of selection, this place definitely has the best in the city. Their top shelfs go all the way up to 60 an 8th but I always find something great for cheaper. Staff is very relaxed, friendly and helpful. They also carry some of the best edibles I've ever tried. Check out the sativa gingerbread! These things get me completely ripped for hours, and I'm not usually a big fan of the edibles. They frequently have some of the best OG Kush I've ever tasted. Absolutely one of the best clubs in the city. A+!!!

Berkeley Patients Group

One of the best

Berkeley Patients Group knows what they are doing. Absolutely one of the most professional dispensaries I've had the pleasure of visiting. Their selection is great and they have something good in every price range. The space is super clean, and the staff is absolutely there to help out the patients. I asked for a anti- inflammatory, something for my crohn's but that wouldn't put me right to sleep. Immediately the woman at the counter pulled out some of the best GDP I've ever had and it was exactly what I needed. Relaxing and relieving but not a knock me right out kind of deal.
The space is also great--the meds are sold in a room in the back and the front room functions as a hang out spot for patients to medicate and hang out. Really a stand out club, and as far as I can tell the best run walk-in dispensary in the bay area. You owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit.

Sanctuary

Too pricey

Only visited this club once but didn't end up getting anything. All of their strains were 60 an 8th. Looked good, but way too pricey. Could definitely get similar quality buds up down the street at Grass Roots or Divinity Tree for less. Maybe they've stepped up their game since I went, but I really couldn't justify spending money here. They did have some good looking clones, which is a plus. The staff seemed like alright dudes and they have a cool dog that hangs out. I was really just turned off by the prices. See for yourself if you're so inclined.

Market Street Cooperative

Small but sweet

I've never been blown away by the selection here but the buds are always great. Picked up some purple trainwreck last time I was in, really bomb meds. Very clean and professional, staff is always polite and helpful. Never seen more than a few different strains available at a time but I've never been disappointed with the quality. Good prices, I usually pay 40-45 for an 8th. Not bad! Definitely professional, no nonsense club. Check them out if you're in the area!

The Divinity Tree

Great!!

Divinity Tree is definitely a winner. The staff here know what they are doing, very professional and I never feel rushed. Very chill atmosphere inside, a cozy room with a couch in the back for customers to wait if there is a line. Their bud selection is great, you will always find something good for your budget. Their top shelfs go for $55, but I've gotten some reeeeallly prime buds for $45 here. They also have some quality hash and hash oils. IMO, Divinity Tree's selection doesn't QUITE hold up to that of Grass Roots up the block, but a great club nonetheless. Check it out!

BASA Collective

Decent....not a standout

This place is pretty close to my apartment, so I've had the opportunity to buy meds here a number of times. The selection is just OK, they usually have 2 or 3 strains in each price range, from $35 to $55 an 8th. They usually have a couple really great looking strains, but expect to pay $50. They always seem to have a good selection of clones, if that's what you are looking for. Also good-- their hours. Probably one of the only clubs in the city open 'til 10.
On the down side, their staff is not very knowledgeable about their product. A couple times the woman at the counter couldn't give me any recommendation at all because she said she didn't smoke! Wow. The staff members aren't usually very inviting, and I always feel rushed in choosing my meds. There is one gentleman who seems to know what he's doing, but otherwise not a very professional staff. Overall, not my favorite dispensary, but worth a visit if you're in the area.

The Green Cross Delivery

Excellent dispensary!

The Green Cross has become my go-to club for meds recently. For a dispensary that delivers to your door for free, they are always reliable and very rarely take more than an hour to deliver. The variety is always great and I am rarely disappointed with the quality of my orders. If you aren't sure what to get, ask the GC staff member for recommendations.....they have never steered me wrong. At $45 per 8th for everything, prices are good for buds that would most likely be $10 more elsewhere in the city. Be sure to try the hash oil! Some of the best I've had. The only thing lacking in their arsenal are the edibles. They tend to be on the weaker side, and it states on the website that they are intended for new patients. Great dispensary overall, extremely professional. A+
