Dispensary Review:
LA Medical DeliveryFast, Dank and Delicious
I always go to dispensaries for my meds, but I have been without a car for the last few months and its given me a chance to check out some of LA's finer (and not so fine) delivery operations. My research so far has shown that the best LA marijuana delivery service is LA Medical Delivery.
I found these guys searching Google for a new service to try out. The LA Medical Delivery web site impressed me. They had close up, clear pix of their buds, which looked uber dank. The site promised crazy fast delivery times which seems to be impossible for a lot of services in this town to pull off. And they had a bunch of guarantees that their product was as good as any top shelf dispensary and I had zero obligation to buy if I didn't agree. It's hard to argue with that.
It took me some time to understand the menu. It seems not all strains on the LA Medical Delivery menu are available in all areas of LA, so I was a little worried when I realized I had less choices because of my location. I rolled the dice and called anyway, and I'm glad I did.
The driver wasn't quite as fast as the unbelievable times their site promises, but they were still at my apartment in less than 30 minutes, which is faster than any other service I've tried. The meds were funky and fresh. Totally on par with my favorite stores around in town. In fact, I liked the buds, so much I ordered them again less than a week later.
All I really need to tell you is LA Medical Delivery has the MMJ delivery game DOWN PAT, SON! Seriously, Domino's could learn a thing or two from these cats. When I saw they had a StickyGuide, I had to show some love. Just minus 1 star for the limited menu, but who really cares when all the strains are top notch.

The Honey SpotFeels Like Family
The Honey Spot is one of those places where you feel like everyone working there is a big family and genuinely happy to be at work. This attitude shows in their interactions with patients. It's just a really fun and genuinely friendly atmosphere here no matter what your walk of life - they're good to everyone.
In addition to providing an inviting atmosphere, the bud tenders seem to know their flowers. I usually shop for sativa flowers and I've found their recommendations to be spot-on every time.
They have a program called FUBAR Army where you donate a one-time membership fee to become part of the Army. They even give you a dog tag with your member number. When you're FUBAR Army, all flowers on the menu, even top shelf, is discounted to $10/gram. I can't remember what the membership fee was, but I think it was around $60.
The only thing keeping me from giving The Honey Spot a 5-star rating is the quality of their medicine. Don't get me wrong, it's good enough to keep me coming back on a somewhat regular basis. They have a wide selection of strains and I have been satisfied with most everything I've picked up there. But the medicine is not grown to perfection. Perhaps it's outdoor and doesn't have the same bag appeal as us west coast pot snobs have grown accustomed to or maybe their growers just don't have things 100% dialed in yet or maybe they just can't spend as much on LBS because of their FUBAR Army pricing. Dunno ... I'm just saying you will not find the super dank nugs (that can be ever so elusive here in LA anyway) at The Honey Spot, so no 5-stars for you.
But, 4-stars yes. 4.5-stars even if the StickyGuide gods would allow it. Again, The Honey Spot has a wide variety of desirable strains on their menu. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. And the pricing can't be beat when you're FUBAR Army. Sweeeeet! Get a taste of The Honey Spot! FUBAR ARMY STRONG!

The Honey SpotOne of my daytime favs
Super Lemon Haze is one of my favorite daytime medicines. It get me motivated, focused and almost never makes me tired ... even hours after medicating. And the citrus taste makes it really enjoyable to smoke.
This batch of Super Lemon Haze from The Honey Spot was particularly sticky to the touch and had a delicious smell when broken apart. The buds were not that dense compared to other grows I've seen of this strain, but I forgot all about that after I smoked it and sampled the delicious taste and glorious sativa-themed feeling this strain delivered.
I've gotten Super Lemon Haze from The Honey Spot in the past. It seemed like other batches came from other growers, but they're always good. SLH just always delivers for me. Recommended.

Divine Wellness CenterExceptional Quality
Divine is one of my favorite dispensaries in North Hollywood - actually in all of Los Angeles. The number one thing that keeps me coming back is the quality of their medicine. I'm always really impressed by at least a few flowers on their menu every time I visit - a claim I can't make for a lot of other shops in LA. The people there area also very nice and laid back. I always feel welcomed and that my questions are answered to satisfaction. Always dank and always reliable - that's my Divine Wellness.

California Natural CollectiveGood People. Good Meds.
Grateful Meds has consistent top shelf medicine and a professionally run, yet still laid back, atmosphere. Every time I visit they have a large selection of sativa, indica and hybrid strains and there's always a few A+++ selections in each category. And even their top shelf is reasonably priced.
My only complaint about Grateful Meds is that their flowers are pre-weighed. Usually, I get nice big buds, but sometimes there's shake in there too and that's something that never happens when your meds are weighed in front of you. Really, other than the pre-weighing (which is definitely not a big enough issue to keep me from coming here), I think this is one of the best dispenaries in Los Angeles.

California Natural CollectiveSpicy, Strong and Uplifting
This is a top shelf med in the truest sense of the word. The flowers are beautifully cured. Dried to perfection - nice and dense, but not too wet and not too crumbly dry. Caked with sugary crystals, the buds leave a sticky residue on your fingers. The flavor is bold and spicy, and the effects give you a fast acting uplifting and focused effect that lasts 4+ hours. Any patient seeking a power daytime medicine would be very pleased to get his or her hands on this fine specimen of a flower.

PureLife Alternative Wellness CenterAlways Professional, Always Quality
Purelife has been one of my favorite dispensaries in Los Angeles since my first visit there a few years ago. The main reason I keep coming back is the quality of their medicine. They ALWAYS have multiple choices of extremely high quality (10/10) meds. Their cultivators know what they're doing and they don't sacrifice quality for profit, which I see way too much of in LA. And while all their flowers are pre-weighed, everything I get is big buds from Purelife whether it's grams or quarters ... and never shake ever. The place is very professional almost to the extent that they come off a little cold. But I think they just have a lot of respect for the medicine and don't want to abuse this great opportunity we've been given in California. If you're struggling to find the highest quality meds EVERYTIME, do yourself a favor and check out Purelife.
