Killer.

Great cut of Chem Dawg in these cones. Felt it in the head and body. Love the little tube they come in, has a screw-top -- using the tube is a nice way to snuff the joint out if you need to.

Apparently reviews need to be a min 200 characters so I'm just going to keep typing words until I'm able to submit this.

Unique Cotton Candy!

Full disclosure: Cotton Candy is my second favorite strain (after GDP x Hindu Kush) and I am a huge snob about it.

This is a very interesting and unique cut of Cotton Candy. Different breeders have applied the name to a number of hybrids, including Bubblegum x Afghani, Haze x Afghani (I'm guessing that's what this is), Lavender x Powerplant, and Blueberry x Afghani,. Not sure why this one is listed as an Indica, because I believe it is a very near 50/50 hybrid that is as "up" as it is strong in the body. It's also pretty fluffy -- usually you'll see the Afghani traits in an Indica-dominant cut of Cotton Candy because it will be super dense. This particular cut is a really nice mix, which makes it pretty unique.

Feels nice. Smells great. Very sticky, absolutely covered in trichomes. It lasts a while, even for someone with a high tolerance like me.

Knocked off a point because I've had Cotton Candy that has felt this good but has also been more flavorful, especially with a vaporizer. I'm really picky about Cotton Candy, though. At least it doesn't taste like Play-Doh, which Cotton Candy sometimes does (don't ask why I know what Play-Doh tastes like).

Overall a great cut of Cotton Candy. I bet this is going to be a great daytime hiking strain tomorrow.

Lamb's Bread

Excellent Lamb's Bread.

Lamb's Bread is easily my favorite sativa-dominant strain. It's very uplifting -- that is its most uniquely potent effect -- and there's no edge, either. The high ends on a mellow (but not sleepy) note. Supposedly it's a Jamaican land-race (of course, it's been stabilized and cloned here for a long time), and I've run into cuts of "Lamb's Bread" crossed with Skunk #1, too, and this is not that. This is real Lamb's Bread. The only comparable strain I can think of is Pure Thai, which is fairly uncommon around here.

The only bummer is the price. The thing is, I've smoked enough Lamb's Bread to be able to smoke and look at this weed and know that this is not the only dispensary to sell the same grower's Lamb's Bread. I try to support the Apothecarium because, well, I like the place. And they do a good job of keeping Lamb's Bread on the menu. But I'm not going to throw $40 away on an ounce when I see the exact same weed for that much cheaper elsewhere -- getting to SF costs enough already! You guys should offer a bridge-and-tunnel discount for us folks in the 510 : )

Bubblegum

OK Bubblegum.

As the reviewer before me mentioned, this is an incredibly smooth smoke. It was also cheap -- but there's a reason for this.

Frankly it's just not as good as I would expect from the Apothecarium. When Bubblegum is truly great, it tastes a lot sweeter and hits a bit harder in the body. You can usually tell from way more visible and crystal clear trichomes. Of course, there's a time and a place for smooth and medium-to low power strain, and at this price (especially at 1/8th) it's still what I'd consider a good deal on a fairly uncommon hybrid.

Bubblegum itself is really best as a breeding strain (that's just, like, my opinion, man) as it's directly responsible for two of my favorite hybrids: Cotton Candy, which is Bubblegum x Afghani, and Bogglegum, which is BOG's Bubblegum x Northern Lights #5.
