Not cured properly

This is an excellent early afternoon medicine to help relax without causing heavy "couch lock." The aroma is very fruity, although I was able to pick up hints of jasmine after curing. Again a 5 star done in by laziness, it just takes a little extra time and the end result is superior. Flavors and aroma mature as the unneeded moisture is evaporated. Let me say, typically the first thing I check is the stems...if they have a nice and crisp snap to them, then great I would seal it up from that point, but if the stem just bends ands frays then it isn't ready. The Ultra Violet only needed another 36 hours and it was great. I didn't lose anything while curing like the Chemdawg - 10.5g prior to curing, 10.3g after. The Ultra Violet was 7g before and after. Excellent medicine...

Needed 2 be cured!!

This is an excellent medicine. Although for a sativa it has a potent body high. After properly curing at home, which is something that is becoming more frequent. Out of 10.5g, I have 10.3g because the vendor didn't want to take the time to properly cure. This seems to be an ongoing issue...out of the 4 strains, 2 needed curing. If it didn't need this it would be an easy 5 stars, but I'm not making whiskey so the "angels share" shouldn't apply! After cured the trichomes sparkle, aroma has matured and the high is even better. The same could be said for the other strain as well, Ultra Violet I/S TS.

Cherry Pie!!

Its parentage combines to make something completely unique in both nose and flavor, as well as a great mellowing effect that just relaxes the worries away. There is a strong scent from the OG that is unmistakable. The first time I was able to sample this strain I was only able to get a gram, that's all that was left, and really liked it. This time I was able to get a 1/4 Oz. and was totally satisfied...in fact, I think this batch is stronger with a more potent body high and a "couch lock" worthy of any good indica.

Great Oil

Ok, first let me say that I am currently medicated with this and it is exactly what I'm looking for in a medicinal concentrate. It doesn't require much, and last for several hours. A better concentrate could not be found, especially for $30 a gram. Now onto my complaint, there is leaf matter in the concentrate. This is rather trivial, I completely admit. It doesn't seem to affect how it smokes, although it might affect taste. Again trivial at $30 a gram for an almost 80% THC concentrate. If it didn't have the leaf matter it would be a definite 5 stars...actually 6 stars, this stuff is amazing...

Florin Wellness Center

Their Oz. price is absolutely RIDICULOUS

Here is the truth about this dispensary...First, any place that claims to be the home of any strain, damn well better be the makers of that strain...not just the distributor. For those of you that only get grams, single 1/8, or just one 1/4 then they are worth checking out. If you're looking for any more than just a 1/4, look elsewhere. There is no discount as you step up through the weights. They wanted almost $500 for an Oz., meaning I was over $1,000 because I had 2 Oz., and then tried to justify it by saying their Oz. is 32 grams. Where do they get off trying to charge near $100 difference with the justification of 4 grams. I tend to only go to my local dispensary once a month, and pick up a couple Oz.'s. I have never broke $750 for 2 Oz.'s, and that is Private Reserve/Top shelf - $60 per 1/8 Oz. - I like the idea of getting 4 grams for the price of 3.5 - or 3.7 if the dispensary is nice - but the fact that it's $60 an 1/8 Oz. whether you are getting one 1/8 or a full Oz. in this case 4 grams heavy for $100 more than any other dispensary, not only in the 916 area but also the 408, 415, and 510...for those that don't know that's Sacramento, San Jose, San Francisco and Oakland. Sorry Florin, even if your flower is good your prices are ridiculous and there is many dispensaries in the previously stated areas that also have good flower. The difference being they don't want an arm, leg and 1st born to get your meds. Obviously, I won't be returning to this dispensary.

Also, they state they have rare pheno's, but I saw nothing there that I have not seen at other dispensaries throughout the are.

Excellent Purple

The Purple Czar is an excellent purple, with a very strong purple flavor with hints of berries with a floral finish. Purple Czar is perfect for late afternoon or evening med with a strong body high that isn't a complete paralytic. Very dense, trichome covered buds.

Sour Diesel

Let me begin by saying that typically Sour D's don't work for me. However, something about this one caught my eye. I picked some up and I am amazed how medicated I am. For me its a very typical sativa head high, just of the highest quality. Strong earhty and pine aroma, with a sweet finish upon exhalation. If Sour D's had treated me like this from the beginning, I would've definitely been a long tike fan.

Unfortunately..1 star isn't low enough

The first time I went in, I found the dispensary to be difficult to find - unless you actually call them first to find out they are in this little house behind a hydro store and next to some automotive shop - but the budtenders were "fairly" knowledgeable. Although, it definitely depended on which budtender is on hand. The only one I know by name is Joey, and he is great...excellent knowledge of the strains and their effects, but with the exception of him and one other ( can't remember his name, but I do know he went to I believe Pakistan to get some seeds right from the source - I would love to try some - none of them know what they are talking about. Now it seems they cannot be bothered with maintaining a menu, when they did have one they at least listed most of their top shelf. Personally, if a dispensary doesn't take the time to have some type of up-to-date menu it just shows laziness. A lot of patients are bedridden and do not have the ability to go and "see" what they have. Theses types of patients check the menus and then must send a Caregiver to he dispensary. When I called T.H.C. and asked about the menu, I was told they "had more than 30 strains, and I 'should' be able to find something I like." Why would I need to do this in the first place? For example, Sour Diesel does NOT work for me, so what happens if they just have a bunch of different flowers that has Sour D as their parentage!?

Yes, they have many strains. Yes, most look great...but that's where it ends. Out of the 30 or more strains, only a fraction of those are worthy to be called a medicine. The Charlie Sheen OG was a joke, and at 65 for 4 grams makes it even more laughable. The same goes for the Purple Wreck and Fed Ex...they looked amazing, but when I got them home they weren't even low grade level meds. I still have some left from a purchase 2 months ago...and its not because I picked up a bunch of weight, only an 1/8 - 4 grams.

One may ask, "well, why do I see all these reviews that state what a great place this is...and what wonderful meds they have." I can explain this very easily: They offer a discounts for every positive review.

I have gone back to what I refer to as my "home" dispensary. If they decide to get their a** in gear and put a menu back up, I may stop in for a gram here and there. But they no longer will have my business monthly. I'll take my money and time elsewhere, and I recommend patients that require high quality meds to do the same.

As always..Exceeds expectations

I'm a little to medicated to do a proper review on some of the meds I picked up today, but I've got to say something about El Camino. When I learned they were putting a cap on ⅛'s I was a little apprehensive if the quality of the meds would stay the same or mimic the price and also lower. So, I decided - actually my recommendation expired, so initially the decision was made for me..but I renewed, so no worries now - to check a few other dispensaries around town. I only found a couple that I liked..but after checking El Camino's menu on Sticky Guide on a regular basis, I decided to go back. I'm very happy I did, the price cap has NOT had any effect on the quality of the meds they have.
It felt like I was coming back home - I've been a patient w/ this dispensary since they opened. "K" thanks for all the help. I will be back next month, and the month after, and so on. Ok, I think that's it...

How many budtenders does it take?

Let me start by saying I've been a patron of T.H.C. for a few months, and when I went in on the 2nd of April it was totally different. First, I'm in my late 20's, and I felt OLD sitting in the waiting room, the other "patients" looked like they were in their teens. But hey, it Cali...right.

The only person I recognized from any of my previous visits was the big door guy, everyone else was new to me. Ok, I'm past not knowing anybody..the place is probably trying to expand. But why did it take four, that's right 4, budtenders to fulfill my order. One after another would come into the bud room and start to take over my order. I tend to only go in once a month, pick up a somewhat meager amount of 40 to 50 grams. To some its a lot, to most I know, its pretty much on par for an average month. One budtender would start to gather a few of the buds and enter it into the computer, and then another "tender" would come in and the one that was helping me would start talking to the new "tender" and pass me off. This happened 3 times. The good meds will only keep me coming back so many times.

If I continue to have this occur I will be forced to look else where for meds. I would prefer not to, but we shall see in the coming weeks.

@KCKUSH420 - YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. That's exactly how it went for me.

Black Diamond Kush

Under my 45x lighted scope, it looked like this bud is covered in dew. The trichomes are completely matured, and on top of that, it is totally encapsulated by trichomes on top of trichomes. The flavor is rather complex ( I have also found flavors tend to be individualistic, meaning its somewhat different for everyone, it also depends on how you medicate - ie. water pipe, vaporizer, etc...a spicy, earthy aroma envelopes the room when this is lit. I find BD Kush to be a late afternoon or evening medicine, although the body high is not as intense as I would prefer from an indica only strain. If it produced heavier "couch lock" it would be 5 out of 5, but as it is it gets a 4 out of 5.

AK 47

I am an Afgan fanatic. I cannot think of a strain that I have come across which included Afgan that I have not like...this one is no exception. It is excellent, and for the price it is definitely a strain that is worth trying if you haven't already.

Maybe its because I have my own loop, but the pictures while they are amazing do not do AK47 justice. The trichomes are fully mature and do not require any magnification to see, having said that...under magnification they're like rain drops or dew on morning grass (going a little to far on the description, maybe). I have gone back and picked up more of this strain for a THIRD time. I never get something mmore than twice, I tend to work up a tolerance to those strains I use regularly. I am the type that must get at least 6 different strains for the month.

For me this is a great early afternoon smoke. The flavor is quite spicy with an earthy, hash taste. Love this one...5 out of 5

Orange Crush

I normally do a somewhat drawn out review...however for this one, I just can not seem to do it. It may be due to the fact I am not impressed with Orange Crush. The flavors sweet, but the was not one that I would associate with top shelf medicine. Very underwhelming...The only conclusion I can come to is this: It doesn't work for me, just like Sour Diesel. I let another MMJ try it and they said it was OK..not great.

When I first saw this I put it back, but the budtender talked me into trying some. So I picked up 4 grams...I am glad I did. I can compare the high to an OG, an excellent body high, great for relaxing after a hard day or (as my mom uses it) just before bed. As I stated before, its appearance is. . . lacking to say the least. Its like the ugly step child that a family tries to hide, but ends up helping humanity. Ok, bad example, but you get my point. DJ Short's Blueberry

Blueberry just happens to be one of my favorite strains, so when I saw it available at T.H.C. I had to pick some up. When I got home I quickly retrieved my little 45x lighted scope to "check out the goods." Under the scope the trichomes are fully mature, along with no signs of disease or infestation. It has a wonderful mellow green color with reddish/brown hairs, and as I said the trichomes are well developed and plentiful.

The high was a little different from what I remember...it was a very calming and smooth med., but it just didn't have the intense "couch lock" that I loved from my past encounters with this strain. I will get this strain again, however I wouldn't use it as a night time medicine.

The Best edible I've had..

This is the best edible I have ever had. Not only was it very potent, but had an excellent flavor. I don't like edibles that have an overwhelming "green" flavor...and with the infused honey that sweetens the "pot" - ok..a little pun was intended - is out of this world. It allowed me to relax and meditate, which I normally rely on a strong indica for.
The high was excellent...edible highs are a little different from smoking, however, I have found myself eating half a spiced bar instead of smoking. I never used edibles, or considered using them on a regular basis until I tried these bars.
I would rate these 10 out of 10.

Skywalker OG with some Jedi mind tricks..

As soon as you pop the lid on the jar it is unmistakable that it is in the OG lineage. Skywalker has a sweet, mildly spicy aroma, which for me is one of the trademarks of the OG's. I apologize for not being able to describe the scent better, for me, this strain has a very complex aroma.
When viewed with a 45x lighted scope, all trichome were fully mature with no signs of disease or pest infestation.
Skywalker OG has a remarkable appearance. Large chunky buds (expected with the lineage) with several different shades of green...ranging from a dark almost like a forest green to a light lime green, with long orange-brown hairs.
This strain carries several of the good characteristics from its parentage - one of them being Blueberry, my personal favorite indica - such as the sweet, and very mildly spicy flavor (which I found on exhale).
I've had personal experience with each of the parents with the exception of ChemDawg...I'm a little put off by the name. The blueberry possessed an unforgettable sweet flavor, with a high level of CBD's - CBD's cause the infamous "couch-lock" - and a scent that one would recognize immediately. The Mazar was very similar, it also produced an excellent high...although, I don't remember Mazar causing the couch-lock like the Blueberry did.
OK. Sorry, went on a little back story there...Skywalker has a wonderful high, after the first hit I can feel my muscles starting to relax. It doesn't produce the almost debilitating couch-lock I found with my blueberry..it provides great relief for body pain. Given its lineage I would've preferred a little heavier body high, so I could medicate and go straight to bed. But all considered, an excellent indica.
I would rate this 8.5 out of 10...only because I would've liked to have had a heavier body high.

Excellent Med. for Anytime of Day!!

I love this strain..it has a wonderful lemon/lime, kind of a citrus smell, with a blast of pineapple right in the middle of the scent when you inhale. In the description it stated it was like lemon pledge, and its not that far off.
When viewed under a 45x lighted scope, all trichomes were fully mature with no signs of pest infestation or disease. The trichome coverage is so heavy that Platinum Wreck doesn't require any type of magnification to see the trichomes, they glitter in the light as you turn the bud...
The structure of the bud appears more of an indica type appearance with medium to large sized buds, that are chunky and dense...instead of the "lady fingers" one finds on many sativa's. When compared with the Amnesia, the color is almost identical, with a lighter green with a gold tone on the under side of the leaf. Although, the hairs on the Platinum Wreck are a little larger and a slightly darker shade of brown.
The high is great for me anytime of day...there is a nice, but not overwhelming, body high..preceded with an excellent head high. You're truly getting the best of both worlds with this strain. I've found that it is an excellent mid afternoon smoke for me, allowing me to relax without the heavy couch-lock one might find with an indica of the same quality.
I found that it is a little dry on the throat, but other than that I have no complaints..its not harsh, so I'm don't find myself coughing up a lung with every hit. The high lasts right up to about 3 to 3 1/2 hours, which is excellent for me, then it begins tapering off.
I would personally rate this med. at 9.5 out of 10.

Mr. Nice Guy will knock you on your #$*

The odor of this G13/Hash Plant cross is...well...I guess the only way to describe it is spicy, with floral undertones.
When viewed through a 45x lighted scope, I found a few immature trichomes (which weren't allowed to develop into that nice full mushroom shape) although, having said that I did go back to T.H.C. to pick up more of it..also, no signs of disease or infestation.
Mr. Nice Guy has atypical buds for its lineage..large, chunky buds with lime green coloring imbued with a very dark purple - almost black. Some buds are darker than others, this is to be expected since they didn't all come from the same plant.
A very smooth, mellow flavor...I caught a few chocolate tones when exhaled, but it could just be me..with a high that puts you back in your chair and melts all your pain away. I love using this strain just before supper..It helps settle my stomach and quite the nausea before trying to eat.
The high is an intense body high..it doesn't have terrible couch lock, but I'm not really in the mood to do much after medicating with this one..I just want to sit back and relax. The high lasts about 2 1/2 hours, for me that is, and I would rate this one an 9 out of 10.

Fruity Sativa!?

An extremely fruity scent with a rose petal aromatic at the very end. I found the scent to be unique being a pure sativa...most "heavy" sativa's tend to have a very strong pine smell, this one reminds me more of an indica, aromatically speaking, with strong floral and "fruity" scent.
When inspected under a 45x lighted scope, all the trichomes are fully matured, with no signs of pest infestation or disease.
The bud has a beautiful light green with with a golden color underneath the leaves. The high is very nice, especially for day time use. ( I tend to use sativa, or sativa dominant strains during the day and transition over to a indica/indica dominant at night. There are a few exceptions, but rare.) Intense head high, this is one of those strains that allow me to be active after medicating. No couch-lock, although it is a sativa..very smooth, not a harsh smoke - its not dry and it was properly flushed prior to harvesting..Amnesia is what I call a "creeper" med., the high will creep up on you, and before you know it - you're very medicated..
Cough..cough..unfortunately, I ate an edible right after smoking and now I can't remember what this strain tasted like...I'll get back to you on the flavor.
The high lasts about 3 hours, which for me is great. I have to get several strains a month because I build a tolerance to the strains. I would rate this smoke a 9 out of 10.

No taste or odor

I don't know where to even start with this one...Okay, first there is not much of a flavor. If you smoke it alone, using an oil pipe, there isn't much of a flavor. I put a drop on the tip of my tongue to basically see what would happen..that part of my tongue went numb for an hour! This would make an incredible topical, expensive for that purpose, but great none the less.

When smoked, the "Gold" expands almost immediately in the lungs. I tend to medicate using this concentrate melted over a flower, and I can smoke on that same bowl for at least several hours.

There is also no odor, in the package or while smoked. Some might ask "how do you know when your getting medicated if smoked," you feel it in your lungs.

The name very well describes its appearance. Gold in color, sometime with a slight brownish ring. I have found that this ring is from heating and cooling of the concentrate itself. But I could be wrong.

I think I covered all the criteria...Hope this helps

Made the Ancient Ways

This concentrate, for lack of a better term, AMAZING! It's very smooth, with a sweet and spicy flavor. The high is very cerebral, although, with it being made from a sativa there is also a nice body high. The high is not a debilitating type, I am able to medicate with this wonderful hash and then go about my day to day business.

I haven't done a review in a few months, so I apologize about the appearance...I have a template that I used to use to grade different strains and concentrates..My next review will be much more descriptive of flavor, texture, overall appearance and high as well as odor.
