Skywalker OG (Skywalker x OG Kush) is one of my favorite strains, with its unique taste, heavy high, and strong pain-relieving qualities. I'm not surprised to hear that it's become a best-seller in the DC Medical Program. Excellent for physical relaxation, day or night. Thank you to Apelles for growing this strain; it's great to see growers giving patients what they want!

Lost Coast OG is a good functional strain which has a piney taste and energetic high. It's not as intense as Sour Diesel or OG Kush, which is just fine in my book. It may not be the most exciting daytime strain I've smoked, but it's been working well for my productivity. Thank you Alternative Solutions!

This is the classic "thin mint" version of the famous Girl Scout Cookies (Durban Poison X OG Kush) strain. Excellent smell and taste of course! The high is very nice; great for cerebral activities. Great job by Apelles on this lovely strain.

This is just some really all-around good kief, and I enjoy pairing it with numerous strains. The original strain, Night Terror OG (Blue Dream X Rare Darkness) is a 70/30 indica-dominant hybrid that I haven't gotten to try yet, but this kief certainly makes me want to get my hands on some. I will be back for more, thank you District Growers!

This particular Blue Dream (Blueberry X Haze) phenotype is indeed sativa-dominant, so expect an immediate head rush coupled with a moderate body buzz. It smells and tastes great and the effects are definitely akin to what I know to be Blue Dream. Great job Abatin Wellness!

Silver Kush (Silver Bubble x O.G. #18) is a balanced hybrid that is slightly sativa-dominant and wonderful anytime except waking up or going to bed. The Silver is a great middle of the day strain because it produces tremendous feelings of euphoria, and you will want to be awake enough to enjoy them fully! I joyfully utilize Silver Kush for many tasks and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good "kush" strain; superb job by Capital City Cultivation!

I bought some High Lyrical Content way back in October and it was definitely one of my all-time favorites from District Growers! The taste was so smooth and the high so long-lasting and perfect. Please District Growers, bring this strain back!

When I smoke this classic indica, I am reminded of all of the Blueberry crosses I've tried in the past, such as Blue Dream, Blue Cheese, Blue Diesel, Blueberry Headband, Berry White, etc... and I honestly think that this strain is what makes all of them so awesome, and having it in raw form is even better :) Pure Blueberry is simply amazing; and Abatin has done a great job growing it! Definitely one of my favorite indicas I've tried from the program so far, I have been alternating this with the Medijuana and am really enjoying the rotation! Great job Abatin Wellness!

Excellent sativa, has the genuine lemon flavor and brilliant effect you would expect from Sour D! This is a great strain for focus and stimulation during the daytime or evening. Good to the last toke, this strain has me coming back to the dispensary for more.

Green Love Potion (Black Domina x Lavender) is an indica-dominant hybrid bred by Samsara Seeds. I really love the minty taste and energy I get from this stuff; it's one of my favorites from the program so far! Very crystally and strong; THC and kief fans will really like this one. Seems to be a hybrid that some patients will prefer to limit to evening use, due to its physically relaxing nature, but many may also enjoy this strain during the day, as it can help with mental clarity and focus. For me, G.L.P. is a real “one-hitter quitter;” a quality, long-lasting high that usually leads me into activity quickly. Tremendous work by Alternative Solutions!

This is one of the best Holistic Remedies oil cartridges I've tried so far; it's tasty and stimulating; a great companion for many activities. Definitely sativa dominant, I recommend this cartridge for morning or daytime use. Very strong; I find that one long battery hit is usually enough for me; or if not two should be sufficient.

As a fan of the Master Kush strain, I really enjoy both the sweet taste and mellow high of this cartridge. I like It best for late night / nap time use and I usually take 3-5 long battery hits to reach a high I am satisfied with. One of my favorites that I have had from Holistic Remedies, would definitely get it again!

I purchased one of these back in May and was very impressed with it; it's the strongest hash oil cartridge I've tried yet. The other two I've tried are Master Kush and Blue Dream, by the way. Loved the buttery taste also. Highly recommended!

The latest batch of Big League Bubble Gum hash is fantastic! The consistency has improved; you will love how sticky it is and how well it smokes. The taste and high are both superb, I love the mix of the Blue Dream and Bubble Gum. Great job Capital City!

Another classic Dutch strain and coffee-shop staple, traditionally marketed as a “mild indica,” (it's actually an indica-dominant hybrid, but whatever) the high is mellow, calming, and so enjoyable that it’s one of my favorites at Capital City. The sweet, sugary taste is actually reminiscent of classic bubble gum flavor; it reminds me of Bazooka Joe. As you can probably imagine, this is a terrific choice for vaporizing. Most of the criticism I have seen of this strain is unwarranted, especially considering that Capital City sells it for a lower cost than most of their other strains. I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t last long at all when they get it in, so I’m definitely not the only Bubble Gum fan. It also hasn’t been available nearly as regularly as most of their other strains, so I always pick this stuff up when I can!

This indica-dominant hybrid is one of the strongest strains that Capital City Care dispenses regularly. It has a bitter taste that may take some getting used to, but produces a long-lasting high that is great for unwinding after a long day’s work. If you are a heavy marijuana consumer, this strain will likely be one of your favorites at Capital City. Beginners should approach with caution.

Glass enthusiasts like myself tend to stick their noses up at acrylic bongs, but this one has sort of made me a believer. Sure, nothing is better than hitting out of clean glass, but most glass bongs are not so easy to keep clean, especially modern ones with smoke percolators, multiple water chambers, ice trays, and “ash catcher” type bowls that are also designed to hold water. And if you’re like me, you’ve probably broken way too many of the glass bongs you owned and just want something simple and durable. Well here it is! As soon as I took a rip out of this thing, I had a flashback to my very first bong in college; not just because it’s about the same shape and size, but more importantly, the way I could get a big, smooth hit every time. How I used to treasure smoking countless bowls out of that thing, and this bong brought me back to that feeling. Fun to use, easy to clean, nearly impossible to break, and super cheap. All in all, not a bad purchase.

Also, a note about cleaning: NEVER clean your acrylic bong with rubbing alcohol, the chemical reaction of the alcohol and plastic will not only ruin the bong cosmetically, but it will also make it dangerous to smoke out of! Instead, use warm water and dish soap. You can, however, safely clean out the metal bowl with a pipe cleaner dipped in rubbing alcohol. Note that the dome section of the pull-out bowl conveniently twists off so you can clean the pieces separately.

To be honest, I’ve found that it’s possible to clean 100% of the resin out of most smaller glass pieces using pipe cleaners (you may need a paper clip to reach certain areas; but be careful not to scratch the glass), rubbing alcohol, and occasionally a bit of salt. I also try to purchase pieces that are easy-to-clean so I can continue to enjoy them to their fullest. But if you are working with something difficult to clean, whether it be an irregular shape, hard-to-reach spots, or just really old resin that’s not coming out, this is the stuff you need. It’s pricey but totally worth it in certain situations. Keep in mind that you can re-use the same liquid several times and many users will pour it right back into the bottle after they’re done. If you’re looking for the most powerful liquid to soak your glass pieces in, accept no substitutes.

These are the prickly kind that are perfect for cleaning glass pieces. Dip them in rubbing alcohol and they can scrub out just about any resin buildup. Bend and fold them to reach just about any spot; practice makes perfect. The assortment of colors is neat, although I generally prefer the lighter ones because it's easier to see when they’re dirty. Usually a comparable bundle of pipe cleaners costs at least $5 at a head shop, so this is definitely a great deal!

Classic Cali strain; so glad Capital City stocks it regularly! Has that fruity, berry-like taste which compliments the energetic head high, but there is a nice body high also. The magic of Blue Dream is how it will calm you down without actually making you tired. Classified as a sativa-dominant hybrid, I particularly enjoy this strain in the morning. Something about Blue Dream just makes me love life, music, or whatever I’m doing really. Highly recommended!

The staff is very committed and caring; I was on a first-name basis with them after only a few visits. The customer service is excellent; they will work with customers over the phone, e-mail, and in-person to ensure they are completely satisfied. Their supply is pretty unique is contrast to the other DC dispensaries; although they do sometimes get flowers from Holistic Remedies, District Growers, and Abatin Wellness, their regular flow of Capital City Cultivation strains is usually the core of their inventory. Let me tell you, all eight of those C.C.C. strains (Blue Dream, Master Kush, Jack Herer, S.A.G.E., Fire OG, Bubble Gum, Blueberry Haze, and Silver Kush) are fantastic, particularly the last two! It’s also worth noting they always have flowers, and usually offer at least four strains at a time. Their P.S.C. program has nice perks like a free monthly gram and pre-ordering online. Also, their free “Punch and Save” cards, which reward patients with $5 store credit for every $100 they spend, are a great deal! The location seems to be very popular, you can take the metro (red line, NoMa), bus (80), and for many DC residents (myself included); it’s within walking distance! There are also bike racks on both sides of North Capitol Street near the P Street intersection, which I find to be extremely handy. All in all, it’s hard to go wrong with a dispensary of this quality so I highly recommend Capital City Care!

Indica-dominant hybrid with a strong, spicy taste; reminds me of eating those red fireball candies as a little kid. This stuff is really nice in the evening, after a hard day’s work. This is one of the most popular strains Capital City offers, so don’t expect it to last very long when they get it in!

This is the nicest, sharpest, and most durable grinder I've ever owned or even used; great buy! It allows me to break up the "flowers" without getting my fingers all sticky and over time a lot of keif will build up in the chamber at the bottom. I use mine every day and highly recommend it!
