Would you support a President of the U.S. who currently uses medical pot?

We know Gary Johnson, former governor of New Mexico, used medical cannabis to recover from an adventure sports accident and then discontinued use. Regarding your vote, would it make any difference if he used cannabis while in office?

It would not make any difference if one of those individuals used while in office. We don't have a problem with them drinking or doing whatever other vices they may have, so why worry about something such as this.

We would be amazed if we knew all the prescription medication members of Congress are on while working on a daily basis...many chemicals which alter consciousness as much or more than cannabis can. And with high CBD, low THC strains, the consciousness may not be altered much at all...

Regarding my vote, absolutely. Everything is relative in hypothetical situations, but any public official with the balls to openly medicate, would probably earn my vote. Any official with the nerve or good sense to medicate in office is clearly someone who is capable of seeing through years of mindless propaganda. This is a person after some truth, which is more than i know of any recent administration. I'm with Herbivore though, if half the population new the chemical bonding put into prescription medication, a natural remedy may not look like such a bad alternative. I'm all for "necessary medication", but i don't think its a responsible decision to pop a couple of Percocet and go sit in a senate hearing.

its not that i wouldnt want a president to use pot, i just wouldnt want a president whose health was compromised to the point of needing any serious medications...

as a medical marijuana patient, i would be relieved to know that the leader of the federal government was ok with medical pot. hell, congress could probably make progress if they all were properly medicated. and yeah, big pharm likes to pump us full of chemicals and remind us of the evils of marijuana. i still don't understand how alcohol is legal, not pot, for health reasons?!? haha a little poem learned as a child best describes my feelings- God is good, man is not. man made booze, God made pot!
