Looks like a pretty cool device but what are the benefits of it compared to the regular pen? Just that it can accommodate 2 carts at the same time?

Bigger Batteries, 3.7v, 6.0v, and 7.4v variable voltage capability. Dual cartridge capability, later to be released is the herb chamber, LCD top to fine tune your voltage, lifetime warranty, just to name a few.

@DubCRider I would like to experience a close to nail hit out of a battery powered vape. I don't use my Omicron much anymore because it is too much effort to get fully medicated due to my tolerance level. I need the Ti nail at this point to get the proper dosage in a reasonable time frame. Where are you located? I'm in the Sacramento area but frequent the Bay Area on occasion. I will need to try the Persei before I spring for it.

Will the persei work with the Omicron cartridges? And is the charger for it just as crappy as the Omicrons?

The Persei at 3.7v will work with Omicron cartridges, the Charger for the Persei is wall mounted, meaning you have to take the batteries out of the Persei to charge them. This eliminates the USB chargers all together. The Usb Chargers are Ecig chargers and because of some oil left on the screen it short circuits out.

This situation is a high priority for us and are working on a solution now. The chargers will no longer be a issue any mroe in the coming month or two.

Ok but in the mean time I'll have to get a charger for this Omicron, are the new units available now or end of Feb.

Since this is my third charger in 4 months could I get some free shipping and handling?

I can verify that my experience with the persei and the right filling in the right carts, you can get a similar to a nail like hit... the thing is pretty intense with the right oil in it... Co2 product - your coughin up a lung, Amber Glass - your still puffin for a smoke, but it will smoke better than your omicron reguardless...

Tolam im in the same boat, Dub was able to nearly hotbox the room with the persei, im sure he could if he tried... id like to see the improved carts tho, would be nice if the last several hundred dollars i spent were useful... so i doubt ill plunge until i see new carts... but i promiss ive seen it with my own eyes and felt it with my own lungs, the persei does work several times better than the omicron with 1 cart, i havent tried 2 carts so no idea on that yet...

Two carts @ 6v with 2ohm carts is intense!

at 6v you should use 3.0ohm cartridges, the 2.4ohms will just burn out faster.

As far as the new cartridges we are working on it and hopefully in few months it will be out.

Does Earwax burn good out of the 4.0 ohm carts with the persei. Whats the best way to get ear wax in the cartride, melting it or puting it in while it still waxy. Will buy persei after response haha

Just got my Persei and YES earwax is AWESOME in the 4.0 ohm carts. just don't pull long she heats up quick burnt my lip ouch!! Just follow the directions on filling the carts and use the filling tool takes me about 10 minutes to get 1g in the cart, AND DO NOT HEAT THE CART 1/4 inch from bottom or it fucks it up, I have an omicron with 7 wasted carts do to this reason

the 4 ohms are now for dual 3 v batts.
the 5 ohms are for dual 3.7 v batts for 7.4 volt explosiveness.
no time out, but it burns so good that 6-7 secs its a little hot so take a beat, hit again and hold on to the top of ya head.
def. comes close to a nail and much cooler so less waste, less air mix and you can hold it longer.

The Persei looks really nice, I would love to try one, but it seems like such a hassle to deal with. 10 minutes to load a gram where I can load a gram in 5 seconds with the trippy stix. Unless it gets me blown in one hit I can't see how its any better than the trippy stix.

Repping "trippy Stix" is laughable, at least. At a minimum do people a favor and inform them it's an ego-t e-cig. They cost $15-$20, do your homework.

10 minutes to fill a cartridge is an exaggeration, it takes me 1 min 30 seconds, and it should not take anyone more than 2 minutes max to fill one cartridge out.

Additionally ,to insure not to compromise cart and to keep cart walls clean ,use your liter (torch lightly 'round lower perimeter of fill tool to insure the wax/budder '"totally releases"' from tool to cart ) to heat enuf material to clear upper walls ~ can test limits by holding cart w/ fingers mid way to sense possible overheating before it becomes a liablity ~ this method eliminates self-inflicted burning cart syndrome ~ that is all

I heard, but let me know if its true. Is the Persei going to get a attachment Flowers this year? I am ordering mine next week never the less. I have tried it single barrel and double barrel with ear wax. Really sturdy product. Quick, Ultra effective and discrete way to medicate.

Just got my Persei loving it! It is like having a portable nail! I love vaping Flowers so I cannot wait for the attachment to come out. I don't even smoke anymore. I Just vape. So I guess my Magic Flight will have to hold me over till the Persei attchment comes out.

l'll buy the Persei when the herb chamber is available, and not before. Primarily because i'm wary of store bought mystery oil and am not in a position to grow/make my own.

I said this before, so I"ll repeat myself, - in the absence of a clear product comparison matrix the risk out here to those of us plunking down the cash is huge and can be painful as we are left to experiment with all of the different products and formats.
How f'n hard can it be to clarify this for us? so we can make fully informed decisions and purchases? just MHO.

My comment you quoted was to Ober, not a use suggestion. www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/omicron is the only place you should look for actual info on the device. These forums are here for people to speak their minds, not for manufacturer instructions. The Persei comes with a chart that explains what cart to run at what voltage. I can run a 2.4ohm cart at 7.4v if I want to and so can you. Actually, I have only ever used 2.4ohm carts on it.

Warranty update for the Persei.

What if I have a charger or batteries not working right?

Just picked up the bubbler for the Persei. Works great and is very helpful for measuring intake. Used 4.0 ohm cart with headband. Worked out real nice.

I love my Persei but sometimes I have trouble finding suitable concentrates. What type of concentrates work best with the Persei?

Don't mind HeMan, he tends to get more sand up his shorts in the warmer months...

Avoid anything dark in color and wet looking. Dry crumbles that are light in color or Co2 oil are probably best.
