Ways to make bho oil or wax?

I would like to know how you guys make your bho and the process of how you clean it.

I like to use a glass extractor meant for bho, bought from a smoke shop. I like to only use kief with butane, as I don't feel it's best for pulling everything, but always a good end product because of so. A couple of nuts on top and bottom of load because kief becomes kinda solid when packed together. I hot water purge, nothing of 150 Fahrenheit, if you want the color to stay gold. Continue to purge until the big bubbles turn to little bubbles, and get a paperclip and whip/ stir to get any trapped butane out of the oil. When in doubt always leave on the heat and stir, it's not going to hurt anything, but on the other end, if you don't it will taste/burn/ pop/sizzle bad, that's the way I do it at least

As for washing, if you already have the oil I've heard of a method where you take a jar of almost boiling water, put your oil in there and shake the shit out of it, because thc is not water soluble, or anything else psychoactive, anything that's not thc/ goodies will mix/fall in the water. After shaking and letting the jar cool, the oil will be on top of the water, as oil and water don't mix, scoop it off the water and let it dry out of hit with heat gun/ blowdryer.

Note: this should only be done with oils that obviously has solvent left in it, or you want to clean it for some other reason. Do some more research, but I'm pretty sure this is it.

have you heard of vacuum purging?

Yeah, if done right, I think the end product is better. I just don't have a hand vac pump or jar vacuum sealer. I've heard doing a couple intervals where the pressure is at least 20 whatever it's measured in works.

It sticks to the lid the sides where theres no watter and even sticks to the side under water even as high as 200f

If you read my post I said do so research, I'm not gonna go through my barrage of bookmarks to find exact instructions. A water wash for hash is common in Europe because of soap bar hash, and everywhere if someone wants to make almost pure thc. Petroleum ether and a water wash= kill hash oil. Sorry about that happening to you, I wasn't posting for someone to use my post as instructions, just stuff I've heard of.

If u want to use water to purge bho there's 2 ways to go about it. While making the oil instead of collecting the extract in a pyrex dish its collected in a pyrex dish with hot water (not boiling) which boils off the the solvent and floats the oil which can then be collected and further dried. Or if u want u can use a pyrex saucepan with water and ur oil over a sparkless electric hotplate just under boiling to remove trapped solvents. Then just collect it off the top and dry. HUGE NOTE ON BOTH METHODS. THEY SHOULD BE DONE OUTSIDE AND AWAY FROM SPARKS AND FIRE. I've used water in a pyrex dish to collect my oil and it works well but I still prefer the empty pyrex dish.

obviously if you put oil in hot water its gonna melt and be everywhere including the jar. You gotta put the oil in its own pyrex. Dont be one of those guys that just follows the first person they hears info

All about cleaning hash oil. If you read you'll find it talks about a water wash and then de waxing by acetone freeze precipitation. Not bullshit, I should have posted that in the beginning.

of course warm water under the bowl that u spray into helps bubble the impurities out, however i tried this: i sprayed my liquid into a large pyrex bowl. i then got a stailess steel bowl that was the same size as the pyrex. letting the steel one sit in the sun. first i pour the liquid into the steel bowl, letting the liquid swirl very slow. when the bubbling slows, i drop, with a pipette, several drops of warm water into the liquid.. at that point i pour the liquid into the pyrex which has been sitting in the sun.... on top of a dark, natural heat absorbing surface. same process as with the steel bowl.. ad a few drops of warm water, then chill. when it is firm, simply pour out the water, no need to strain it. then u are going to be pleased

First time made a butane oil extract that is used to heat and whipped my oil and got a hard candy like material .

how many times can you use the same weed for one batch of oil?

i have read that you can use material a couple times. evidently the product is more sedative on 2nd extraction.

as far as how to clarify an extract put it in Everclear. 10x the amount of everclear as oil. use a double boiler and put your extract compound in it and stir till well mixed; or better yet blast directly into the everclear. Throw solution in freezer for 4 weeks in a sepratory funnel. Drain, and throw the dark stuff away. Put the clear part on top in a dark location with a fan blowing clean air over it to evap the alcohol. that is basic absolute. I recccomend using a pyrex dish with a vacuumed sticky pad for this part. pro absolute's goes to another level that i wont share.

do not put your extracts in light unless you want to degrade them. All extracts are heat, air, and photo degradable. Basically this means: don't buy extracts stored in clear separate containers stored under florescent lights. Make you dispensary give you some off the chink whenever possible as you will get a better product. Also any extract that sits in a hot bath of water is going to be decarboxylated and degraded.

Making hash oil correctly and of great quality needs a little bit more of an explanation than just a small post on yahoo. Yet I found this dope book on amazon, which gives a lot of details on how to make hash oil but also gives you the links for what you need to buy online to make the process as easy and professional as possible. GET THIS BOOK IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME OR IF YOUR ARE A BEGINNER!!
