Myrcene / Relax
Among the most common and popular terpenes — often dominant in high-THC varieties — myrcene tends to produce the strong relaxing "indica" effect associated with cannabis

Although terpene-based classification has been a critical component for us at Abatin from the day we opened, interest and curiosity about terpenes has accelerated in recent years in the marketplace at-large. And, with terpene testing in some nearby jurisdictions, we believe the time is right to enable your customers to learn about - and experience - terpenes in the manner allowed by the Sunflower line. Increased customer insights into the interrelationship between the phytochemicals in the plant, both cannabinoid and terpenoid, can only help increase customer appreciation for the diversified experiences enabled by differentiated plant material. Customer experiential education is a tide that lifts all boats.

Sleep assistance the way it should be

This strain helps you sleep without the morning grogginess you get with a super strong indica. With this you get exactly what you want.. help sleeping. Don't get me wrong, you get a nice buzz, but not that overpowering high that the more popular sleep stains offer.

Right to bed

Sunflower Purple is THE strain I use if I need a good night sleep. It is super potent and loaded with the terpene called myrcene which is excellent for sleep. In my opinion, this is the strongest indica at TWC (ignore the thc!) This is the most consistent strain for sleep and has not failed me yet. There is a strong smell and flavor of berry, which is common in strains heavy with myrcene. I barely even feel the high because I go right to sleep. My favorite sleep medicine!

ZZZ...

Sunflower Purple is deliciously fragrant, earthy and sweet. A good whiff of it is "mmm" all around as was the taste when I smoked that first bowl. It helped me unwind and get into a comfortable mood, ready to sleep. The effect is definitely sedating and couch-lock is guaranteed! I like it for when the day is over and I'm ready for ultimate mind/body relaxation, a good movie or drifting off to sleep.

At Ease

While Sunflower Purple has a significant indica feel, which the antispasmodic body effect adds to, it isn't as intense or drowsy as some other indicas; but, at the same time, the strength is fantastic. Those that like indicas will find it good for destressing.

Potency = 9.75

Effects = pinching, some numbing, some relaxing (slightly drowsy), and nerve stiffness

Ideal for: stress, physical pain, antispasmodic, physical brain related conditions, and some help with insomnia

Mixes seamlessly with: Kashmir Black, Facewreck Haze, KushZilla, LA Chocolat, Knock-Out Kush, Holy Grail Kush, Girl Scout Cookies, (Classic) Bubba Kush, Kalashnikov, Gorilla Glue #4, New Jack City, District Dream, Purple Trainwreck, Northeast OG, Fruity Pebbles OG, Maui Crush, Sunset, CBD Blue Shark, Tropical Punch, Heavy Duty Frutti, Lost Coast Hashplant, The (Classic) Purps, Grandpa Abe, Pineapple Purple Kush, Ed Rosenthal, and Master Kush

*This is my 100th strain review. For the occasion, I have decided to provide a sort of rubric for my reviews. This will be especially helpful for the older ones, where I didn't do as good a job of explaining them.
- On the potency ratings, they have nothing to do with the effects. Strains that are balanced, or more focused on the body, are good for everyone, and at any time. With strains that are especially heady, euphoric, or tiring, you don't want to use them as much.
- If I don't specifically refer to the body/nerves, then I always mean head effects. Type of effects can make a strain heady (opposites or euphoria), but also the balance plays a major part. Uncommonly, Master Kush is an indica without a body effect, making it heady.
- Euphorics, as I label them, are major mood changers that do not do anything else significantly. Those with a euphoria have significant mood elevation, and those with an elevating, bringing up feeling, uplifting, or soothing effect are low level mood elevators that are good for everyone to use regularly. All of these feelings are more commonly associated with sativas, but you see them in hybrids, and some indicas.
- The pinching, compressing, and compacting effects are pressurizing ones that help with stress/anxiety (compacting would be the most intense and pinching the least). They are associated with hybrids or indicas.
- Relaxing is the drowsy effect found in many indicas, and some hybrids, which is good for insomnia and stress/anxiety.
- The movement body effect which I call nerve vibrations is good for physical pain and activity.
- The still body effect nerve stiffness is antispasmodic.
- What I call the head clearing effect many would refer to as spacey.
- Numbing is a standard feeling. In the body, it makes one tired to a degree. Body effects in general add a level of drowsiness, but they also treat pain.
- Use CBD regularly. If you want something more heady, then sometimes mix a strain that meets that requirements with a CBD one.
- Once they find something they like, many people get stuck using the same strain again and again. Changing it up is good. I would recommend trying strains that fit a similar profile. If you like Blue Dream, then try REM, District Dream, Pineapple Express, and Hawaiian Trainwreck. If you like Bubba Kush, then try Kashmir Black, Heavy Duty Frutti, and Grapefruit Kush. If you like Granddaddy Purple, then try Sunflower Green, Purple Trainwreck, and Grandpa Abe. If you like MediHaze, then try CBD Critical Cure, Royal Medic, and Harlequin. If you like Girl Scout Cookies, then try OG Haze and The Purps. If you like Limonene Dream, then try Kalashnikov, Tropical Punch, Head Trip, and Holy Grail Kush/Holy Purple Grail. Get to know what sorts of feelings and effects work well for you, and then look for strains with similar ones. Every strain is different, but usually they share something major in common with multiple other ones. Also, remember that what is a sativa/hybrid/indica is elusive. You might not normally like indicas, but enjoy GDP or LA Chocolat for instance.
- Just to give you an idea of who I am, I'm someone who was born with a talent for this. It's best to think of me like you would a wine sommelier (I stole that from Paula).
